Thanks for dropping in everyone!I'm hoping for St Petersburg
.
:rotfl: we did that one a few years ago! Amazing to see all the rich palaces. When I get a chance I'll see if I can fish out a few pictures
Next cruise will be around the Med, places like Barcelona and Monte Carlo, but the main draw will be the fact that it's a maiden voyage of a ship.
In order to help us save for our cruises, we've today taken the step of cancelling Sky TV:T
Mr Goldie made the call as it was in his name. They immediately offered to half the price of our current package, which includes Sky Sports, so that would have been about £31, and they went down to £17.25, without the Sports, but Mr Goldie declined their kind offer
So, in 31 days we will be Sky free - I must admit it's quite a relief to be rid of it!Early retired - 18th December 2014

I suppose we'll just have to slum it with you.

Goldie, it looks lovely! Sounds like you didn't get seasick or stormy weather at all?
We were very lucky with the weather - in December it could have been really bad in the North Sea, but it was reasonably calm, not enough movement for any seasicknessThe pictures are lovely GG, that's the ship we went on last year before it had a revamp
It's one of our favourite ships. After the revamp, the Crows Nest bar (at the front, on a high deck) is lovely, with lots of comfortable seating, and the shop area has been opened up, and seems more spaciousI suppose we'll just have to slum it with you.

We've just been talking about that. At the moment, it all seems quite normal. I didn't work on Monday, and Mr G wouldn't have gone back to work between Christmas and New Year.
I think Friday 2nd January could be the day when we realise what's happened!Early retired - 18th December 2014

This morning, I posted our letters to our tax offices to get them to allocate our tax allowances to our pensions.
Then at lunch time, to post arrives, and there's a letter from my tax office, in answer to my previous letter. They've done what I asked, and now my tax allowance is attached to my pension:j
Only hope that when they get my letter from today it doesn't confuse them and they do something random - it's happened before with HMRC!
We've also made an online purchase with the JL gift card that was a Christmas bonus from Mr Goldie's ex employer. We've ordered a recordable Freeview box, now that we're ditching Sky.
I've just done a pile of ironing, and now I'm going to get a few bits listed on eBayEarly retired - 18th December 2014
