Thanks NG, but mine are pale blue with a white interior. But thanks for the offer.:)

On the subject of Denby, I sold my some Denby stuff for my friend, and it sold well. It'd be worth listing as soon as you get the time.

Right, must go to bed now, I'm breaking my no internet late at night rule!

Hi, MCI - the good memories definitely over-ride the dodgy moments!

I've started to go through the photos that I took - all 705 of them! I'll trying to whittle them down to about 150' to put on my iPad, so that anyone who wants to have a look at them can, without being overwhelmed.

I'll post a few on here, when I get round to it.

The Asda order was a little disappointing yesterday as several things were out of stock. I suppose they hadn't restocked after Easter. It was a stock up shop, not a weekly shop, so it didn't matter too much, but I'm not sure I'd rely on them if I really needed something.

Tomorrow, we're going to go shopping, as we need a new sheet - the one currently on the bed has got so thin, it has now ripped. Also, I intend to get a hairdryer. My old hairdryer blew up a couple of years ago and I didn't bother to replace it. But I used a hairdryer on holiday, and it gave body to my hair, so I'm going to get a new one. A few other bits will be bought, such as new slippers for Mr Goldie. When purchases are put off, they suddenly become necessities all at once!

A few together make for a "proper" shopping trip - I quite like that sort of shopping - hope it goes well.

Caught up with your news. Welcome back and hope colds finally clear through.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Good news, shopping trip went well and coughing now almost zero.

We went to visit Mr Goldie's cousin yesterday. His uncle (97 in June) was there. It was really nice to see him. Unfortunately he's getting frail now, but his mind is still very sharp.

Now that we are feeling much better, we are endeavouring to get out for a walk each day. It's been nice now that the sun has been shining.

I did a meal plan for the whole of April. I must admit, I don't enjoy the meal planning process. It's got to a point where I've got a lot of recipes to choose from, and I need to cross reference with what's in the freezer. It's getting a bit too complicated - maybe I need to cut my cooking repertoire!

Could you *start* with looking at your stocks? It's a great problem to have, but yes, I could see it would simplifying :)

lol, I've tried it every which way, but it doesn't make any more enjoyable. It's one of those tasks that I always find lots of displacement activities before I finally get round to doing it. But the plus side, once it's done, I haven't got to think about what to do for dinner, for at least another month.

We're starting to think about what we need to get done over the spring and summer.

We've made an appointment for tomorrow, for a quote for cutting back some of the shrubs.

We're also looking at replacements for our knackered garden seat, which can't be repaired anymore, it's on the verge of collapse!

We may go for a 'companion seat' which is two seats joined together with a coffee table.

We're also intending to do some decorating, in the kitchen and spare bedroom. It'll just be a repaint, but in the bedroom we'll get new bed linen and curtains. What we have at the moment is 25 years old, so it needs a refresh.

In the kitchen, I intend getting some 'nautical' wall signs.

We'll also need to think about what we intend to grow. I think we'll just be sticking to tomatoes, courgettes. peppers and blueberries. Our strawberry plants appear to be deceased, and we always have trouble with birds taking the fruit, so we may not bother with strawberries this year.

Nice to do things like that, refreshing, as you say :)

As far as plants are concerned - tell me you have a few perennial herbs scattered about the place, chives and sage and whatnot?
