Somebody needs to stop Npower

Courts send out things like CCJ notices by regular mail. Try telling them you didn't receive it if they say they posted it.
A free proof of posting is generally sufficient evidence that you sent something. Many government organisations have their post go through a central sorting centre. DWP do for example. Anything sent recorded to them gets scribbled as received by a Royal Mail employee before going into the DWP distribution system, so you still have no proof of it arriving at the department you sent it to.
However, I would guess recorded delivery gives you a little comfort and proof it at least made part of its journey successfully.
There's always bound to be the odd bent postie, as there is in all walks of life (especially where large numbers are employed)

Disputed the bill to be met with a brick wall saying it is correct. Then got a phonecall to admit the bill was wrong and now they have put my account on hold. Hurrah I thought.......... of course the 'amended bill' is £80 higher!!!!!! What a joke, and it was delivered with the threat of bailiffs and court action.
Upon inspection of this 'amended' bill, they have recalculated my entire time with them on their Standard Rate. ie the highest. Obviously I was not on this rate.
This site and many others are overrun with complaints about Npower and it is common knowledge even from npower employees that the entire system is in meltdown. The trouble is, Npower keeps demanding payments and threatening bailiffs and court action before it has its own house in order. Why is someone like the Ombudsman not stepping in to stop them. It is causing many people stress and sleepless nights,
Hello SteveJonesey,
Thank you for your post.
If you can send me more details relating to your account on an email to the address on my profile page I will investigate your account for you.

Bumping this thread from many moons ago...
... because guess what I just received in the post? ANOTHER BILL FROM NPOWER.:mad::mad::mad::mad: I left this property over 2 years ago now!
I've gone straight back to the executive/CEO e-mail address this time, it's ridiculous. :mad:Update from me: I have a customer complaint number from nPower by e-mail (from my CEO e-mail) from head of customer services.
It does not, however, say whether I am safe from having my credit rating trashed while they sort out... whatever it is they're doing.
I've told the rest of my family, and those who are using nPower are making the arrangements to switch away, having seen the numerous horror stories (here, and on other newspaper websites) that attest to the incompetence and disrespect that customers have been treated with.I use voice dictation software to create many of my posts. I correct obvious errors if I spot them, but I aim to post quickly to keep the conversation moving. Please therefore disregard odd spelling/grammar in my posts if you see it. Thank you!0 -

How did they find out where you now live?
"Somebody needs to stop Npower". Agreed! Someone needs to compulsorily wind them up. Unfortunately because the energy supply industry is unregulated there's no one to do it. All we, the customers, can do is to make sure we don't ever do business with them.
I'd be inclined to ignore any further correspondence from them.0 -
Hi Gingerbob,
I'm still living at the address I asked my final bills etc. to be forwarded to (which is where they sent the bill I previously dealt with in this thread.) Ironically, I'm about to move house, so they definitely can't send me a bill next year.
Thanks for hearing me vent, I'm furious that I'm being harrassed for money I don't owe a whole year after the rigmarole of getting rid of NPower last time!I use voice dictation software to create many of my posts. And guess what else about NPower - they now provide monthly updates to the credit reference agencies about the conduct of your account!!!!
So next time you apply for a loan or mortgage and get rejected, you better check what Npower has been saying about you.
Is this true? My former tenants left an £800 utility bill, and I contacted NP letting them know they absconded in December 2014. I sent NP Tenancy Agreements, and other documents they requested and I am still receiving letters from collection agents on behalf of NP six months later.
I wrote a complaint letter so strong I needed a JCB to fold it into envelope.

Yes, it's true. I'm sure the npower rep will confirm.0
