I would say its quite common to say that as it gives them time to offer to the first choice candidate and then to another candidate if the ione turns it down. When I have been involved in interview panels we have tended to tell everyone it will be a few days then go stright to the first choice much quicker. However they may not complete all the interviews on the same day and genuinely need to wait to see everyone.
