Just looked online and cannot find that Tesco have new Zealand
leg joints they have british which I don't think will compare.

Aldi have said that they guarantee to be the cheapest for legs of lamb this easter, this could get very interesting and I might have to turn our 2nd freezer on:D

Could be very interesting indeed, will keep an eye on Aldi offers but am thinking they may be going to offer cheaper British lamb, current prices are high so wouldn't be hard to be the cheapest.

I am going to have the lamb for dinner today.

Have just got a marinade from google so its just infusing at the moment.

1 juice lemon
3 cloves garlic crushed
salt/pepper
sprigs of rosemary - some chopped - some sprigs
olive oil

mix and rub all over the lamb leg, then leave to infuse.

cut holes in lamb and put rosemary sprigs in holes.

Will let you all know how it tastes, if any good will be going back to Asda for another one or maybe two.

Reporting back :- absolutely mouthing watering went down well with everyone, and enough left over for another dinner tomorrow night maybe a lamb stew.
Will defo go back for another 2 whole legs hope they still have some.

You are welcome Tessie I love to share a bargain. I roasted one yesterday and it was lovely, loads of portions now in freezer, have three whole ones so will be having a lamb treat for months.

Amost correct . In the small print on their website they state "Excludes promotional products"
