    I guarantee that it did convey that meaning.
    Sadly I can't quote the exact words to you, as the page isn't in my browser cache and only seems to be accessible as the last page of the application process after it's been rejected.

    FWIW I've written to them querying the matter. But suspect I'll not reapply anyway, and go with someone else who actually wants my money.

    Probably. But it's a bit easier to post the scores at the top of the report on this thread than to describe the supporting details ;)

    The scores mean nothing at all though. The lender doesn't give two hoots about how Experian rate you.

    The message would have said something about using data from credit reference agencies such as Experian when they score your application. They would have said nothing about using the Experian credit score or that you needed to check your Experian score (as this is a totally meaningless number).
