    A thought occurs that Now TV is available on YouView boxes, maybe OP could check it out on their existing kit.

    Certainly does need a TV license.

    The channels are very much streamed live, otherwise how could they offer Sky Sports channels/live events on a "day pass"?

    Or entertainment;
    "Enjoy 10 live channels and catch-up missed episodes, from Sky Atlantic to Comedy Central"
    http://www.nowtv.com/entertainment

    To be clear, I am talking only about this: http://www.nowtv.com/movies It doesn't mention channels at all, and obviously movies work better in an on-demand format, anyway.

    Apparently there's a free trial, so I could use that to try it out.

    Unfortunately if you've cancelled your TT TV package Cornucopia, they will ask for the box back, unless you get lucky, of course.

    That's fine, I'm expecting it. Having said that, depending on how/when they messed up my account, the package was cancelled nearly a month ago, and still nothing from them.

    But yes, hence my interest in taking Sky's Trojan STB. :)

    You'll still need a license for the service because Catch Up and live TV are bundled.

    What is in the bundle?

    edit: Just had another look at their website. If you click on the link to "collections", it brings in a second level of menus which includes "Live Movies". It also says somewhere that Live movies are not available on Youview.

    So I guess that answers the question. Strange they make it so difficult to find the info.

    Not at the moment. But they will/are expected to be later this year when YouView enable Unicast TV applications.

    You do NOT need a licence for NowTV, or anything else for that matter, including a TV if YOU are not going to watch or record live TV. So even if the NowTV does now do streaming, if you don't watch the live streams, you don't need a licence. Be honest though...

    I think that if you can recieve them the way your equipment is set up - you do.
