The OPs husband should could himself lucky, there are loads of idiots out there who will stab without thinking
You seem to like the word idiot...
Saying he should consider himself lucky, would have been a much more reasonable post to have made and yes we all understand their are idiots out there who will stab someone without thinking.0 -

He would not be remembered as a hero for splitting up a fight what he had no reason to be involved.
He would be remembered as an idiot who should have called the police instead and let them deal with it
Look: it's obvious to us all that you wouldn't stop - probably not even get your phone out to call the police in case someone stole it from you. Stop calling the person who did intervene an idiot and trying to justify your attitude of "well he must have deserved it". I am deliberately not expressing what I really think of you because I do not want the OP's thread pulled - but believe me - my opinion of you is not very high!0 -
every right to feel Proud
he certainly was thanks to him the lad wasn't killed
very brave hubby you haveSecrets And Lies Destroy Lives0 -
If I was being beaten up by three men I would hope someone like your husband OP would come to my aid instead of standing back, leaving me being kicked in the head and calling the police in the hope they get there before I'm killed or permanently injured.
I've intervened in two incidents before, one to stop two grown men about to smack each other stupid in front of their small children, and another to stop a child that was being smacked around by his father in the middle of the street.
There are way too many people in the world who would put their own selfish little skins before helping someone else.
Thugs get away with their behaviour because other people walk on by.
Fair play to your husband OP - he's a hero in my book. He put someone else before himself.0 -

He would be remembered as a hero. You on the other hand....you won't be remembered for anything at all.0 -

Can I just clarify, this was not a fight this was 3 fully grown men (at a guess I'd say late 20's) attacking a young teen who looked about 17 at most, he didn't stand a chance, there was also a 4th man but he didn't attack just stood there laughing. The young boy claims he does not know these men and has never seen them, they have pleaded not guilty despite there being a camera pointing at them from a nearby shop and many witnesses (this also happened in full view of several children who had just finished school). For me my husband is a hero who potentially saved that boy from who knows what kind of damage had they continued. All the men had to say for themselves was 'yo get off me man I can't go penn' (I think that means prison??), they didn't appear to have any remorse or empathy for the boy or the children who witnessed the attack. The 3rd attacker was also held down by another gentlemen who'd been in the dentist with my husband0

Yes.
With the 'yo, man, get off me, I can't do pen' sounds as if they think they're in Chicago or New York!
