You don't know the story though, if the 1 guy had slept with 1 of the other guys wife or something. Your husband is no hero, but more of an idiot

So still 3 against 1 is a fair fight? You do talk rubbish, I'm sorry to say. Whatever he did - or did not do - it was 3 people beating the pulp out of one person. We are supposed to be a civilised society with a legal system which metes out judgment/punishment. Or do you believe in "justice" like this family did: http://www.itv.com/news/anglia/2014-04-03/norfolk-eleven-members-of-a-family-who-kidnapped-and-tortured-a-pregnant-woman-and-her-partner-jailed-for-60-years/

And neither do you. And remember - when you are pointing one finger at the person you are calling an idiot, you have three fingers pointing back at you.

I think you're making up your own stories now....

Just hope that some time in the future you never need any help.

It still wouldn't justify someone ending up being kicked in the head and needing hospital treatment. And if the OP's husband hadn't been around? The person being attacked might have been killed.

I can see it from both points of view, if someone intervenes in a physical fight they are putting their own safety at risk and some people might think it better just to call for the emergency services.

But no one deserves to be set upon by 3 people.

So proud of my husband he is a local hero...he came out of the dentist n saw 3 guys attacking a young lad and knocking him unconscious.....MY HUSBAND pinned 2 of em to the ground while ringing the police and ambulance with his spare hand n he managed to hold em there till the police arrived. Another man managed to get the 3rd attacker too. The lad only looked about 17 and had blood pouring from his ear where they kicked him in the head. On one hand it was a crazy thing to do getting involved but he didn't stop to think (he is 6ft and solid and very strong so was the natural thing to do for him). The police said he is a hero and they probably wouldn't have caught the lads had it have not been for him as people don't tend to give evidence in these cases for fear of repercussions. So proud of him :)

Your husband is a hero, what ever went on does not justify violence. Glad there's still people like him left in our society.

What if the OPs husband was stabbed and killed? still a hero?

Yes.......he would still be a hero

What if the lad had been killed, 3 people were kicking him in the head.

Could the ops husband have lived with that on his mind? ( I stood there and saw it and what did I do....I just used my mobile phone to call police)

Well yes, I think so anyhow.

I think most people would attempt to do at least something instead of just being a cowardly bystander....

Most people probably wouldn't be able to do as much as the OP's husband (he sounds like he can take good care of himself!), but to just stand by and do nothing....well I think that is lower than low, and I hope you and your family never need any help in the future.

Yes, he defended others without sparing a thought of his own safety.

He wasn't though. Sometimes people react on instinct in these situations. Do what they think is best at the time.
