In my view, yes "greater love has no man than he gives his life for another".
But you'd prefer mob rule - obviously - because that's what you are defending all the time in this thread. Makes me sick to the stomach to think that I've corresponded with someone who believes that.0 -

About 300 Victoria Crosses have been awarded posthumously so those recipients were still considered heroes even though they didn't survive.0 -
Yes, he defended others without sparing a thought of his own safety.
If the OPs husband was killed whenever this happened.
He would not be remembered as a hero for splitting up a fight what he had no reason to be involved.
He would be remembered as an idiot who should have called the police instead and let them deal with itThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

If the OP wants to refer to her husband as a hero, that is entirely up to her.
If it were someone who tried to defend someone you loved from being badly injured you might change your mind.0 -

He wasn't stabbed and killed though. Yes I understand that it could have gone wrong, but I dont think that makes him an idiot.
Calling him an idiot another 50 times wont change the OP's perspective on her husband.0 -
