Presumably that interest will be accounted for in your final statement, in which case it won't be a problem - you don't even need to wait for this separate cheque before paying in to a new ISA (HMRC rules above state that "He does not have to wait for any compensation if he has other savings available").
The final statement (if it has already been sent) will be wrong. This is relating to the backdating of the interest from when the funds were originally transferred to DCU from my previous ISA providers. The administrators are taking some time to respond to me, but I assume I will then need to request a revised final statement... ?0 -
Has anybody received their final ISA statement from Cork Gully now?
I had my mail this morning but not the promised ISA statement which allegedly was "already in the post" yesterday morning.0 -

We have just tried ours now - The ISA statement and the same accompanying letters/FAQ that was sent with the share account statement.0 -
I had the Basic Share account statement yesterday, and my ISA statement arrived today. Will go and deposit it with Nationwide this afternoon.
I am quite perplexed about the process - it was all a lot easier with the Icesave ISAs.0 -

Archi Bald - Is your cheque correct (with the interest backdated correctly) ? - Ours aren't and Cork Gully say they are aware of the situation and working on it.
The problem is it says you can only use one cheque for the ISA, but then the first cheque includes the £5 non-ISA amount too - but overall.
I don't know what to do for the best and we are losing a lot per day with the cheques just sat here.
Has anyone else successfully used the cheques yet for a new ISA ?0 -
Yes, pafpcg managed it, and I think in that case the difference between statement and cheque was probably more than £1000

I've banked mine into a Santander 123 account so that I am at least getting roughly the same interest as if I put it into a flexclusive ISA - gives me some breathing space of a few days or a few months, depending on what I decide.0

I've just been speaking to First Direct - They have a team dealing with the Enterprise Credit Union customers apparently - Getting a call back later today with confirmation on the process.
They sounded to be quite organised with regards to this.0 -
Like most others, I had the cheque (from FSCS) and info and share A/C statement from CorkGully yesterday, and have received the ISA statement this morning.
Yesterday afternoon I visited my local Nationwide branch to attempt to open a new ISA and deposit the funds. The local guys didn't know quite how to deal with it, and I spent about 45mins waiting around while they read through all the info, and phoned the head office ISA team. They couldn't work it out, so I left it with them to investigate and formulate a plan.
I've received a phone call this morning to say that they still don't know what to do, and that it will likely take another few days. I've been promised daily updates.
I've phoned the FSCS this morning who insist it should be straight forward!!! I also tried phoning NW head office but got nowhere.0 -
I've just had my ISA statement in the post. Missing the backdated interest, but otherwise correct. Am not worried about receiving a few pounds by separate cheque later that I won't be able to deposit into my ISA account - the main thing is to get the current cheque earning interest, tax free or otherwise, ASAP0
