An entirely fair comment. Those that I have seen (from a reasonably wide variety of forces) use a mix of formats. In fairness, probably a majority use the registration number only.My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -

When I saw one of the posts I did wonder if it was an April Fools that someone had played on them as it sounded like it was delivered on 1st April.
The whole thing sounds totally bizarre. How does a letter get delivered to the wrong house for a car that they don't own? Just doesn't make sense unless it was a typo or something but even that doesn't add up.
Was the reg close to the correct one eg 1 digit different? Even with that I can't see how the letter would get to a wrong owner.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -

a) my name is spelt incorrectly
b) it was sent to the wrong address 75 instead of 81
c) it is for a registration plate I've never owned, or drove for that matter
d) i received the letter over the 14 day period (23days)
To make it clear I did not commit this offence.
I intend contacting the Central Processing Unit tomorrow, until then I appreciate your thoughts!
Seems quite clear that you go back to the issuer and say that you have never driven a car with that reg and that the details they have for you are wrong therefore you believe they have the wrong person. I'm sure the letter gives clear instructions as to how to proceed.
What other thoughts do you think people might have?loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.0 -

Someone responds to a 172 naming said person and address. They then send another form to that person.0
