    £3,000.
It's a one-off and part of my plan for the distribution of a lump sum recently received. I am so pleased not to have fallen into the tempting trap of spending it as I'd absolutely love a new cooker, carpets, holiday and so on as I haven't been on a holiday for a decade, but common sense must prevail until such times as I am entirely back in the black. My choices were the c/card or pay off the car. The c/card costs more so it's a no brainer really. Looking forward to getting the c/card statement though. Good start to 2015. This action alone will save me about £48 in interest every month.

Thanks for the kind words everybody.

wow, Serendipitous what a fantastic PAD. It's difficult when you get a lump sum not to think you should treat yourself to something out of some of it at least so I'm really impressed with your will power in paying it all off the cc. When you see how much interest it saves, it's really motivating to do it as it makes you think of how much we all pay in interest rather than paying off the debt.

For me today just a little £2.08 to keep on top of my Kindle habit - the daily deals are a bit addictive for me - between physical books and ebooks on Kindle I've got about a years worth stacked up - maybe a New Years resolution should be to read the ones I've got before buying more but I'm not sure I could keep to it! At least I usually use Amazon gift certificates earned through surveys to fund it.

  • Welcome to PAD buddiebabe :hello:

Sorry to hear about your bereavement jet9cat.:(

    Excellent PAD Serendipitous:T

jet9cat - I have received a Kindle for Xmas/Birthday and have found loads of free books which I have downloaded but too be honest I am still reading newspapers from weeks ago as I don't have time to read them properly each day plus I have picked up books from jumble sales and I have a few out from the library so I don't actually need any more but at least the Kindle ones are not cluttering up the house:rotfl:
I have been saving my survey gift certificates but when I was looking through the books I begrudged paying for any as I know I can get them from the library for free (smacks head on palm!!)
