I like your rewards system! A bit like stopping smoking and putting money away for each packet one didn't buy ;)

just fished another deodorant out of the girls' rubbish - a full!!! Vaseline roll-on, bought from before they switched to cream. Good timing as the spray just finished (that ended up with me when a friend moved house). So no extra item, yippie!

did anyone buy the Biotherm micellar water when Boots was doing £20 of points with 2 items?

I figured it worked out at £5 a bottle (retails £15.50) with the points...

Its horrible! So heavily scented, stings my eyes!

I think I'm going to send back the unopened bottle.

    morning ladies
did I tell you I sold the eyeshadow that the ebay woman refused to pay for?only got 99p and its nearly £10 instore still the new buyer was pleased and it is an out!

also after my holiday in Tenerife my hair is bleached dark blonde!!!!I love the colour tho not too sure it is me esp with a tan(shades of the now orange tom jones!)DH said he prefers it darker but others seem to like it so unsure what to do!leaving it till I get back from Spain anyway as it would just bleach again
just bought 5 new watch batteries on amazon for £3 :)
would cost £6 ish to get one changed on the market and DH can do it for me anyway....just annoyed as now have 1 watch with one sort of battery and 3 with another......I wear watches instead of bracelets as have big wrists and struggle to get them to fit
  • Hey can I join?

Realised I need help today when DD19 called me on my way home from work and asked me to pick up facial wipes and a deo for her, and I walked out of the shops with 3 shopping bags full! Despite the fact I know I have a suitcase in the garage full of lotions and potions.

Finances are tight right now, with 4 students in the house and a fledgling business, so it's the perfect time for me to get this unhealthy habit under control. Compounding the problem, I have 4 daughters. I often am left to deal with what they get bored of. I can totally relate to Happygreen!

Long term goal is to simplify my life. Less products, less clutter, stick to what I am happy with and what works for me rather than being a brand !!!!!! (trying every new product on the market!)

I don't have everything in my stash so will still have to buy a few things now and then. For now I want to spend no more that £5 per month, not including toothpaste and sanitary products.

I will add my PP in a day or 2. For now my UU's this month...

Right Guard acai berry shower cream
Nice smell, non drying. WMBA, but prefer others.

    African Spa moisture face mask.
Ok, but didn't wow me. WNBA.

Garnier Fructis repair and shine conditioner
One of my favourites. My thirsty hair loves this.

St Ives retinol firming treatment cream.
Skeptical me did not notice any firming! WMBA, depending on price.

Lacura deo roll on cotton dry.
Does the job without overpowering smell. Inexpensive. WBA.
No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!

Been AWOL for a while. Can't believe how many posts there are already?

I was aiming for a no buy April but bought a Nip and Fab Frown Fix in Sainsbury's yesterday. It was reduced to around £3 but when I checked my receipt to make sure I had been charged the lower price it appeared that I hadn't been charged for it at all, so real bargain! It was in one of those security plastic boxes so think the cashier may have taken it out of that and then forgotten to scan it. I finished a Murad wrinkle reducer recently. It was absolute rubbish so glad it was a freebie, not that I would have paid Murad prices anyway!

I was surprised that my son got me some toiletries for Mother's Day, as he knows about my habit! He got me Sweetie Pie and Rock Star. Been using the Rock Star as an air freshener. Don't know if the smell is fading or I'm just getting used to it. It came in a knot wrap so intending to put that in my pyjama drawer to scent them.

UU a couple of sachets and a trial size Burt's Bees milk and honey body lotion. This is one of the BB's products I actually don't mind. Although it has an odd smell I quite like it and would be happy to use again if given as a gift or got as a freebie but wouldn't purchase again myself.

    Welcome newbies :)

I opened a X-mas present from my mum today - Weleda buckthorn shower gel and body lotion. It is soooo nice that I am fed up having to use up several other things
    UUs:
bar of Dove , is also a LHJ,
Body shop spicy Vanilla shower gel,
    Daniel Jauvance shower gel,
    Ikea apple shower gel
Avon hand and bodycream, it's ok, fragrance goes with the Vaseline deo
Boots strawberry body lotion (it's so horribly smelling that I only use it as hand cram just before I go to sleep!)
Disney cars bubble bath (raffle win, might be passed on to a friend with wee boys)
    Avon bubble bath,
    2x radox bubble baths
2 bubble baths from my friends' kitchen business - presents (lovey natural aromas)
the whole line of Body shop Vanilla products (shower gel, body cream and lotion, cream bath (I love them but keep them for when there is less other clutter in the bathroom)
None of us seems to have a long soak at the moment, saving money on oil and having showers instead
one of my teens will be moving to go to Uni in September and I am dreading the fallout of products!
