Any one know, if I upgrade to club lloyds and choose 'gourmet society' card do the GS have my bank details?
I've read some horror stories about cards being renewed automatically & members not being able to cancel.
After 12months I may want to change to something else and not renew the GS card.
TIA
Hi tarq,
The Club Lloyds membership doesn't quite work like that. Gourmet Society don't charge you at all for the card if you choose that Lifestyle Benefit.
If you were to choose the free Gourmet Society membership, it's valid for 12 months. At the end of 12 months, the card will expire and your membership of the Gourmet Society will end. You will then be able to select a new or the same Lifestyle Benefit for the following 12 month period.
Hope this helps,

Thanks for the speedy replies, guys.
I had read the T&C, but it wasn't clear if my bank details were given to Gourmet Society, even through it was a 'free' card.
Can now decide if I want to change over.0 -
Hi Lloyds Bank Rep
I opened a Club acc and asked for Vue cinema vouchers, which arrived in an email
1) Can they be used in the central London cinemas with ease? - I note I have to go in person on the day...there may be no seats!?
2) I'm concerned re presenting a printed-out voucher... will the ticket office staff have any problems with this? - what if they ask for further evidence/info about it?
Thanks for replies in advance0 -

Question 1 - don’t know.
Question 2 - Forwarded the email to my sister (she loves her films) and she printed them and has had no problem using them. They don’t care who you are when they are redeemed.0 -

Hi keiran,
Yes, you can use the vouchers at central London Vue cinemas (excluding Scene Westfield). As you need to present the voucher in person, due to Vue's advance booking policy, it is possible that the screening you want to attend may be sold out. I'm not really able to advise on whether this is something that will likely affect you or even whether it's something that happens often.
You can print the vouchers out (at home for example) and they will be accepted by the Vue staff. If you can't print the vouchers, just give our Club Lloyds team a ring on either 01733 462224 or 0845 3030303 (lines are open seven days a week, 8am to 10pm). They'll then arrange for the vouchers to be sent by post.
You may find this link of use as it lists in details the conditions of the offer.
Hope this helps,

Another thought:
Is it possible to retain original Classic account number, when upgrading from Classic Vantage to Club Lloyds?

Thanks. I started doing it online and realised that it was trying to upgrade my Gold Service account rather than my Vantage one, so I stopped. I then enquired in a branch, where the girl behind the desk didn't seem to know that my type of account still existed and also implied that I would have to lose my existing fee waiver if I wanted to have a Club Lloyds account. I was therefore a bit wary, especially as every time there is an accidental monthly charge made on my account it takes a good half hour on the phone to get the person on the other end to find the details on this old-style account, work out the conditions and refund the money. To give them credit they always do it with politeness, good grace and sometimes humour, but it still takes time!
Hi again bugwoman,
Not sure if you eventually got this sorted out or not. If you haven't, please do give us a ring on either 01733 347 007 or 0845 3000 000 (lines are open 24 hours a day). We can then remove Vantage and add Club Lloyds to that account for you.
Thanks,
