  • Not clear on the T&Cs regarding multiple accounts. It says you can have one joint and one single. Does that mean you can have two (one joint and one single) and if so, could both parties on a joint account have two, e.g one joint account in both names and one single separate account for each making a total of three? (Hoping that makes sense.)

Yes you can have 1 single each and 1 joint.
  • Hi,

Does anyone know if the 2 DD transactions can be either DD or standing orders?

    Thanks

Think you've answered your own question there.

A DD is not an SO, so why would an SO count?

They have to be DDs. Standing orders are not DDs.

Direct Debits and Standing Orders are entirely different transactions. If the T&C specify 2 DDs, then that is what is required:cool:

The comparison table on the /new-club-lloyds-current-account-offers-4-interest-should-you-sign-up says Standing Orders/Direct Debit hence the question

    Thanks for the replies :)

Comparison tables (and answers from random strangers on the internet:p) are quite useful, but are no substitute for the published T&C of the accounts you're researching;)

You are quite right, and it is somewhat worrying that MSE officials don't seem to know the difference between SOs and DDs. As badger09 said, however, the only thing that matters are the T&Cs of the company that provide the offer.
  • anyone had problems applying online for the club Lloyds account?

after entering my details and pressing the submit button on page 3, i get the following error message:

    "Theres a problem...

7000001 : Sorry, there’s a technical problem. We can’t complete your transaction right now. Please try again later"

i've re-tried maybe 6-7 times now on different days. i have telephoned the support number but each time their answer is "i dont know, try again tomorrow"

can i pop into a branch and complete?
