i remember one from when i was a child- sometime in the 80s, i think this was. it was basically all about keeping your chocolate in the fridge in the hot weather :rotfl: the jingle was something like:

Bounty and Marathon, on a summer's day
    From the fridge!
    KitKat, Topic and Milky Way
All of your favourites, deliciously cool
    Straight from the fridge
    That's the summertime ruuuuuuuuuuuuule

all accompanied by visuals of people smiling and clutching chocolate bars. i brought this advert up in work last summer- nobody remembered it. please tell me someone here remembers this one??

    Similar to this one?

The poster who mentioned the "Limara" ad; thanks for putting the singer's name in your post. I'd forgotten all about that until I read this thread, I used to buy Limara just because I loved that song! :D

This John Smiths beer ad used to make me laugh....

The Brentford Nylons ads take me back a bit....

One of my favorite adverts from the 80's was the Maxell Tapes advert featuring Peter Murphy from Bauhaus - 'Maxell break the sound barrier'.

I like the Argos adverts with the aliens. Favourite one was a couple of years ago when one of them said "As conundrums go, it's right up there with Justin Bieber and Eggnog."

    I know, I'm easily pleased!

  • Um Bongo! I always tried to sing along, but usually ran out of breath!
And the canny bag'o Tudor crisps ad, with the paper boy, tower block and broken lift.
From Starrystarrynight to Starrystarrynight1 and now I'm back...don't have a clue how!

Apparently the child in that advert was Elvis Costello performing with his dad!
