Do you ever stock pile on items when you see them on offer?

I did this not long ago when the new surf washing liquid came out and it was £1.89 a bottle which per wash worked out cheaper than tesco own powder.
So i bought about 20 bottles.  I think i've probably got enough to last me for the rest of the year.:o
The offer was too good to resist i doubt they'll ever be that cheap again.;)0 -
I love coffee - but only decent proper ground stuff. The asda special type was on BOGOF ages ago and I bought 40 bags of it. DH was going mad at me (I think he was embarrassed) but I only have 5 bags left now and it hasn't been on offer since. I make a big point of saying how we're going to have to pay full price for it now and he should have let me buy more.
If I see something on offer that I use a lot I'll go overboard and stockpile it but it does save so much moneyAnyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:

i always stockpile things like washing powder and washing liquid, normally when its a BOGOF. My friends all laugh at how much loo paper I have0

i had exactly the same problem - OH went mad when i put a few packs in each time (he gets through one a week +) in asda and we ran out - he likes fairtrade and you are right , it hasn't been on offer in ages. likewise, i think he's so fed up of me going on about it i think he would let me buy a zillion packs next time! i hate paying full price for it:mad:0 -
I do, I haven't bought teabags for about a year, stocked up on Twinings Yellow box when it was 1/2 price.
I stash stuff everywhere, like a squirrel.A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.
Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.

I only buy items if its stuff I use. Not for the sake of " its on offer, lets have it "
My OH's mum buy's for the sake of buying and cos its on offer, half the time we end up with the stuff anyway!
If its washing powder, then yes deffinately I do go mad. Same here, where at times my cupboard has been stocked up with 6months supply. Infact - my wall cupboard fell of the wall, as I over loaded it once with that much stuff!
Tins - yes
Loo rolls - yes
sweets/chocolates/cakes - no
reduced freezable items i.e meat/fish - yes
Shampoo & Conditioner - yes (BOGOF)Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
I never buy something just because its on "special", but if its something I buy & its only special (& long life!) I buy loads.0

Like lots of others on here I only stockpile the offers if it is something that wil keep, and more importantly, something we are going to use anyway
So it is worth buying extra breakfast cereal when it is buy two and save £1 (when the cereal costs £1.57) because I know that will be eaten and I will save money on my weekly shopping bill over the next few weeks.
We tend to save all our Sainsburys nectar points and then do a stockpile shop of washing powder, coffee, washing up liquid, loo rolls etc. It looks hilarious going down the conveyer belt.0 -
I never buy sweets, buns ,biscuits or crisps in bulk as Ive found ,the more you buy the more you eat lo! ,not good in my case.0

I so agree with what dizzydolly says. Hotel chocolat had a special offer on and I stockpiled and its nearly all gone. Eaten mostly by me :eek:0
