I'm still holding out, it's gone back to around -15% in a month. I might hold out for it to go down 20% unless it starts rising again

Hi, I've never paid much attention to this before, but can anyone explain when deals are done on this and other funds and what price is used? Does the fact it is investing in the US market affect this?

    i.e.
If I purchase in a HFX share dealing account, if I buy today what price would I get? when would the transaction go through? does the order need to be in at a certain time to trade on one day rather than the next?

If I transfer from 1 fund to another in a Fidelity ISA, what day's price would I get for the fund I am selling and the one I am buying? Is the pricing worked out at a particular time, or does it wait for 12 gmt for a new price to be set?

They hold a wide range of different investments so that a major rise or fall in one is only of passing interest. They then hold these investments for the long term. Suggest you do the same. Having a highly volatile investment like a Biotech fund as a major holding is a serious mistake - it leads to too much stress with a good chance of long term lower returns.

    good stuff Linton.

the question in my mind, when considering whether to buy back in when my ISA appears with II, is whether the Biotech Sector is a good place to invest long-term. i've done well out of it within my SIPP previously. and i think that Biotech will continue to be a very innovative sector in the years ahead. how much value there is though...
