This fund and others in the sector have dropped over 10% this week - I know its a volatile fund but does anyone know if there is any specific reason? I am trying to work out if its a buying opportunity?

Yes I hold this fund too. I sold out recently in order to try to by it back cheaper. I think one of the reasons it's gone down so much, is because the US politicians sticking their noses in.

I hold it too, 76+ up overall
This slump might be a good buying opportunity just before people stick their ISA money in it0 -
i sold it in my SIPP before moving from HL to III...well over 100% up.
plan being to buy back in my IIIISA when it has transferred....but i am less sure now. there is another thread re. the fund here, with some good analysis0 -
I like this fund too so I was rather surprised when I logged into my account to see a fall of over 15% in a few weeks.
It looks like there has been a big sell off of Biotech stocks recently

However, I'm confident that this is just a short term correction and the sector is still a long term hold. Unfortunately, I did a top-up of my ISA holding just before the recent falls. Oh well.0 -
I'm also looking at this fund. Just waiting to see how things turn out as it seems to be falling a bit recently0

I bought into this at exactly the wrong time, so I'm about 10% down now. I'm not sure how to check the prices each day before it updates, but I think the NASDAQ Biotech index is a good indicator, that was up 3% yesterday (down 3% on Friday) and most of the largest holdings were also up >3%, so hopefully things are turning around a bit.0

looks like it's gone up by 3%0

I know that Glaxco went down a lot recently as I have been monitoring them, not sure why this was though0
