I tend not to look down my nose at anyone who uses English poorly. I was fortunate to have a rigorous education whereas others may not have had that. One must also remember that people have various conditions eg dyslexia. Much better to be a nice person who mixes up their p's and q's than an arris.......just a thought.

Quite right patty, the most important thing in most cases is that a person can communicate their message and it's understood by the audience, regardless of the delivery

I do like to think that I don't look down on anyone (apart from myself), but apologies to anyone who was offended; being an arris isn't something I aspire to :(

Talking of ironing I am at my son's house, searched high & low, texted dil........ She doesn't have an iron !!!

I don't have an iron either.
I had one over 14 yrs ago when 1st married, used it a few times ironing DH's work shirts but was totally hopeless so DH took over :D. I don't see why I should spend hours on ironing when if they were taken out of the drier and hung up straight away they never needed ironed.
Now if I need to use an iron I borrow my mums but even that's only when myself and DS are making stuff with Hamma beads :rotfl:
