I tend not to look down my nose at anyone who uses English poorly. I was fortunate to have a rigorous education whereas others may not have had that. One must also remember that people have various conditions eg dyslexia. Much better to be a nice person who mixes up their p's and q's than an arris.......just a thought.

had a annoying conversation this morning with a neighbour about primary schools and how important it is to get a good start. and what school she should send hers to I told her mine all went to the school in the next village, she said that she thought the children did not progress well from there and in the other local one 30 % of pupils went on to university. the headmistress keeps a tab on them, So i told her in my dd1 year 9 pupils went to uni 2 to oxford and cambridge, all from the same little village, She was not impressed and is still sending them to the other school even when I tried to explain there was only 10 pupils in dd1 year the one that did not go to uni joined the army , she just did not get that 9 out of 10 is better than 30 % as she said 16 from the other school went to uni so far more.. but its a far bigger school:wall::wall::wall:

wow can't believe you have trained your kids to do all these things. DS is quite good and will help but is only 5. Step son is awful he's 9 and his mam has only recently stopped dressing him. Currently having a battle with him about wiping himself after number 2's. He doesn't think it's necessary. it's disgusting and prob tmi lol
 If they have things done for them, they tend to not be as self sufficient. I even make DS pair his own socks up after they've been washed and put his underwear away. Tigercub knows how to say "jobs" and puts things away. She puts her empty plates in the washing up bowl, she cleans her own table with the cloth after eating. She's not even 2. Admittedly, she also leaves a trail of destruction behind her :rotfl:
