:) bet it's made you a strong person though, and you should be proud and your kids even prouder of you :). We hardly ever buy anything new everything it is either from carboot sales or charity shops and if it is new it's in sales at rock bottom prices, and when it comes to having kids it will be the same theres a few things that I would buy new like car seats and and bottle teets but that's about it, It's childcare/loss of income that's going to be a challenge. I think it's when they are older they cost more but I have no experience whatsoever so am probably in for a shock but they certainly wont be having a baby wardrobe, they can have a normal one and like it :rotfl:!

Sounds like you have it planned well, enjoy xxxx

    So to summarise:

Open a Lloyds or a TSB account. Failing that, a 123.

Remember to set up your DDs; SOs are a good alternative if you're struggling.

FD offers some great rates; don't confuse this with Nationwide's FD account). And be aware that ISAs will turn into NISAs in a few months.

Complete your R85 forms (if applicable), otherwise it's all about AER/gross/net rates.

Above all, don't forget about FSCS.

How many supermarkets did you hit on the way home? :D

    Only 2 :(
Was hoping to get to more, but with not knowing where I was going I had to follow my Dad out of Kirkcaldy and he wasn't keen on going on a T's tour for some reason, spoilsport :p :rotfl:

Did manage a couple of Belvita shops in Perth though so wasn't a complete wasted journey!

    I wouldn't normally advocate eating stuff I don't like.

.....however! I don't really like lamb but Ive bought a couple of legs

Bless my OH, always trying to find ways to cook it so I might like it. Tonight he cooked it in Chardonnay. He was convinced it wouldn't work, he usually cooks it in claret. It was very! nice it didn't taste too lamby and I quite enjoyed it :)
