I would not stand in the way of two great minds.

Did I really say that? :rotfl:

Not all nanny's are wrinkly you know. :p But David. has been very helpful posting the odd HUKD freebie for slap or gunk as he calls it. ;)

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I was reading your posts with great interest earlier, was thinking I know who to come to for advice. :rotfl:But not sure if I could get my head around having lots of accounts, guess I will have to learn.

It did seem overwhelming at first. But I've done lots of readings over on the Savings forum and Bank Accounts forum.

Also been reading on sites like Monevator for financial advice.

As long as you're organised (and the majority of us are on here ) then you should be ok.

It's even simpler when you've got a spreadsheet of all your money, interest rates etc.

I have a monthly 'to do list' to ensure all accounts are funded correctly to make sure I get the interest on the accounts (a small number of accounts are like this; the majority do the work for themselves).

It's also kind of addictive. :o I got quite excited when I heard TSB and Lloyds were launching new current accounts giving 5% and 4% interest, respectively.

    p.s. I can imagine you're a sexy nana.

    Meow!

    Just been to Lidl.

They have some posh ham on offer from £1.99 to 99p for 200g.

It's delicious; bought 6 yesterday; went and bought another 6 today. :o Expiry date 30/5.

Thy also have some nice flavoured chocolates on offer for half price...loads of flavours to choose from. 34p per 100g.

Also....is anyone else a fan of their instore bakery? I know I am. :D

Their instore bakery is fab, way way cheaper than M&S and you can pick individual items rather than big bags of stuff that doesn't keep very well. The pain aux raisins and big choc chip cookies are gorgeous!

On the subject of seeds.....lidl is quickly becoming one of my favourite shops......I called today to get my usual half price weekend deals....off on a tangent....next weeks looks great...it is 500g cured pork loin joint with either a honey and mustard finish or a mixed pepper finish for £1.99.....anyway....I feel like Ronnie Corbett doing one of his long jokes.....I spotted a stand with seeds.

For anyone fancying a dabble you can get 5 packs of seeds for £1. From memory you could buy leeks, carrots, parsley, courgettes and basil for £1:T can't go wrong:T

Why not try a few in pots:)

    I bought some parsley...individually 29p but 5 for £1

The weekend deals are really good, only time I go in. Got some ham and the choc butter biscuits today! Cross with Farmfoods though, Ben & Jerry's now £2.50 :eek::eek: Shocking.

Some bargains in T's today, a 500g 4 pack of Breaded Haddock (frozen) usually £2 now £1 :D, normal white SEL. Only 2 packs left though now in my freezer.:T:T:T Can't find this online though. Also , supposedly "new" a pack of frozen Simply Cook cod Parcels 275g, cod in a leek and mustard sauce in puff pastry. Pack of 2, SEL £1, scanned at 50p!

    :j:j:j

Oh unfortunately A$da overcharged me on jellies again. Silly me keeps getting the only one not in the 5 for £2 deal ;)
:) Learn from the past, enjoy and appreciate the present and work to make your future the best it can possibly be :)

    And get lots of glitches!

Thanks hun will keep it all in mind. :)

Can't hold my hand up to being organised Karlie. I am probably the most disorganised person on here except for my neatly piled stashes and cupboards. :rotfl:

And I know I would forget to do something. :o

But it will be worth trying to maximise my savings. ;)
