Thanks hun will keep it all in mind. :)

Can't hold my hand up to being organised Karlie. I am probably the most disorganised person on here except for my neatly piled stashes and cupboards. :rotfl:

And I know I would forget to do something. :o

But it will be worth trying to maximise my savings. ;)

Give me your £200,000 and I'll look after it for you.

It did seem overwhelming at first. But I've done lots of readings over on the Savings forum and Bank Accounts forum.

Also been reading on sites like Monevator for financial advice.

As long as you're organised (and the majority of us are on here ) then you should be ok.

It's even simpler when you've got a spreadsheet of all your money, interest rates etc.

I have a monthly 'to do list' to ensure all accounts are funded correctly to make sure I get the interest on the accounts (a small number of accounts are like this; the majority do the work for themselves).

It's also kind of addictive. :o I got quite excited when I heard TSB and Lloyds were launching new current accounts giving 5% and 4% interest, respectively.

    p.s. I can imagine you're a sexy nana.

    Meow!

    ;)

Yes excel charts are essential and also putting key dates on your calendar with reminders.

I've also got an excel in progress which has all of the pertinent info for the current accounts, savings, insurance and credit cards - names, numbers, phone numbers and notes etc so if I get run over by the proverbial bus (unlikely as buses don't run near us :) )
so OH should be able to look at the sheet and when he finished shrieking in horror he could pick up the reigns where I left off :)
