So to get a doctors appointment for my son.

Rings up sits in queue fair enough.

Gets through explains he saw doctor 2 months ago who prescribed antibiotics and said if in 2 months no change come back and see me and he would like an appointment.

No can do has to have a call from tirage first.

    Why

To see if he needs an appointment or maybe they can prescribe antibiotics over the phone.

So explains again has already had them and doctor wanted to see him in 2 months if no change.

No can do unless he is willing to wait nearly 2 weeks

Ok he is in now can they speak to him now.

No they will call his mobile later.

He will be in college with it turned off (probably not :D)

Right well they need to speak to him first

So they are ringing landline sometime after 2

So yet another layer to fight your way through  Why is everything getting more complicated :(

It the same at our surgery. The triage thing is a joke because it always ends up in them making you a docs appointment anyway. After you've spoken to a nurse who says they think you need to speak to a doctor who then says they're not happy to prescribe anything without seeing you.
And GP receptionists generally are on a par with god.....or they think they are :D:rotfl:. Sorry if any of you are nice GPs receptionist but you are in the minority!

    Afternoon all.
Not been around for a few days as felling rather low.

My doctory surgey has just started this stupid way of booking.
Have to ring at 8 to try to get a receptionist, who then tells you a doctor will call you back to see if you need an appointment.
Mad as virtually impossible to get though before all the phone appointments have gone.
Even when doctor says I need to see you in 4 weeks etc, still have to do this :(

Off to the dentist soon, after 4 appointments and 6 hours in the chair should finally get my new bridge crown this afternoon :)
But not looking forward to the bill as private dentist. Pay monthly fee, but still have to pay for all lab work.
