I live across the road from my GP surgery. I never go over there on time because they are never running on time. I have phoned them before I have left and asked them how late they are running

I've been known to go home, make a cup of tea and take it back over with me :rotfl: :rotfl:

In my GP's they have an electronic sign in, if you're 1 min late the receptionist has to ring the doc to see if they will see you, they can refuse to see you even though they are always running at least 30 mins late.

That's on top of having to book an appointment at least 4 weeks in advance.

You'll be easily identifiable to A with that post. You ok with that?
Thanks, I hadn't thought of that. I think it will be OK though as we could probably be identified when posting our comparisons if Sada felt inclined to do that :)

Edit: I deleted my other post actually, its probably not worth the risk as you never know who's reading. Thanks for pointing that out to me AAU1

14 days free trial at David Lloyd gyms 2 adults and 'their' children....

Not too sure how this will work.....the 'their' bit infers it needs to be a male/female couple......I was intending going with a friend, or my mum....not sure how DL would handle this but I have asked my friend to complete a separate one

I have just been and the Dishwasher Tablets were gone but there were plenty of the Harpic and Domestos toilet edge hanger things.

Couldn't find any Cadbury Egg biscuits or even a space where they may have been.

Also got 3 packs of McCoys but check dates on packs. Most were out of date but I found some which were still in date until 19/04/14. Not that dates bother me personally but I know some people stick to them.

Whilst I can symnpathise with the difficulties of making GP appointments, and the waiting delays, I can fully understand why GP's end up running late!

Most surgeries have only 10 minutes allocated per appointment. I don't know if this is NHS guidelines or practice guidelines.

10 minutes is no time at all, and how many people arrive with one/two/three concerns. More than one concern will automatically make the GP late to the next appointment.

If someone arrives 5 minutes late, it may only be 5 minutes to the patient, but to the GP, it's only 5 minutes left of that persons appointment, and 5 minutes of the next persons. And so the problem must snowball during each clinic.

I'm so glad I'm not a GP, their stress levels with trying to get clinics back to running to time, every clinic, must be huge.
