Savvybuyer wrote: »I suspect this has been posted before - but noticed Bodyform "Secure-Fit" is 'free if you don't agree' for those customers lacking in confidence like ourselves. Maybe stick one (if you haven't done this offer already) on your shop with the crisps vs T tomorrow? £1.79 A vs £1.19 T. 2 for £3 in A but only need one!!
However Royal Mail prices are rising, yet postage & packing is only refunded to 50p. So factor in a slight loss there (unless you bought all your '1st'/'2nd' stamps two years ago like I did), but about 72p APG (so paid 72p less the difference in price on the stamp and the packing etc. to take away).
This is going to be £1 in A from 3 April! So only a window of 3 days in which to take advantage in A. Although maybe also one to watch for whether "£1 or any 2 for £3" on Wednesday night! If so, buy two then pay £2 but comp. picks up 2 for £3! (And then - are you really one hundred per cent confident with the product?) If it says £1, maybe (maybe, maybe not) still good to buy at £1.79 on Wednesday night late in the store (not after midnight) - we are going to be busy late in the day on that night:rotfl: - and comp sees what you pay hopefully!
As for 2 for £3 etc. - I notice T&Cs of Bodyform offer include the following (which stumps me a bit):
"If the claimant has purchased the product on a 3 for 2 deal then the total value of the products will be reimbursed to the maximum value."
What?!?
What is the "total value" of the products? Does that "total value" take account of the 3 for 2 deal or not? It's not clear to me! The "maximum value" btw is £3.58, but the T&Cs are silent about whether the "value" is the value that was paid, i.e. net of the 3 for 2 deal, or is the individual prices totalled up.
It's the total value "of the products". What does that mean? What are the "products"? E.g. if the 3 for 2 is a mix and match and includes products other than Bodyform, does it mean all the products, including the ones that aren't Bodyform? Or just the Bodyform products? Obviously more the marketing people that wrote this than the legal teams!:rotfl:
And note that if Bodyform Secure-fits are purchased on A's 2 for £3 deal, that's not a 3 for 2 deal!
Again, though, maybe the writers of the T&Cs meant something different from what they actually said and perhaps, in practice, they mean to apply a different rule which, under a 'try me' deal is what the promoters can decide to apply, and other people are not as technical about words as I am! Moreover, "no correspondence will be entered into" - in other words the promoter's interpretation is final and this won't go to law.
Could be worse, imagine if it said:
"if any item is purchased on a price comparison shop then the comparison cost of said item (less 10% if purchased in Asda) will be refunded as opposed to the actual price paid. If the item is crucial to reaching a conditional spend discount then that discount will be deducted from the refund that will be paid. If failure to purchase the returned item would have left the claimant with insufficient different number of items to generate a price comparison voucher in the first place then the full value of the price comparison voucher will be deducted from the refund due. If the item is (or is affected by the presence of) a trigger on the comparison shop then Savvybuyer's head will explode when we ask him to calculate the refund due to you (or due to us)!"Apparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -

Good evening!:)
I know some people like whistling, it does other people's heads in, but I love it!!:THappy belated birthday QOC - I am sure someone else wished you it. Hope you had a lovely time. Apologies if it was not your birthday.

Sleep well all. Only 8 hours and it's time for work! Eeeek.
It's those boogers that got us putting the clocks forward!:(:( I'll have to go now - got things to sort out for the morning.
See you later!:)0 -
Thank you to Rose for the cinema codes this morning. We had decided to take the Munchkins to see the Muppet film anyway. so this meant 4 tickets for about £5, instead of £25, thank you!!
Just a quick one with H&M. Many of you know that there is pretty much always a £5 off code, but there is also free delivery but that finishes today.
At the moment they have kids football tops at £2.99 each, and if you play around with the codes and taking stuff out your basket etc, like on previous glitches you can get them silly cheap, but H&M have a habit of cancelling these orders, so if there is something you actually want, its better doing it above board.
So these football tops are £2.99 each, so select 4 tops - not quite national shirts, but pretty close- (I would avoid the france and germany tops, but thats just me) then using the £5 off code (will be on the codes thread) and the free delivery code (this is on the H&M front page when you go to the website) you pay £6.96 for 4 football tops, which is pretty cheap when you know the kids are going to ruin them.

HTH.
My pleasure.
Had a nice Mother's Day myself. Breakfast in bed courtesy of DD, quiet day learning how to transfer files from Mac to Pc ( done so proud of myself), visited Mum in hospital ( she was miserable) then DD cooked tea ( tuna cream pasta) and watched Don Jon on box office ( quite raunchy so glad OH and her bf were not here) .
Off to London for a couple of days with Sis and DD to do a small job at Barbican and staying at DS's flat. Hope everyone had a nice day0 -

Yea! But how would they determine if it was a "price comparison shop" or not? Surely some vagueness there?;)
I thought about the issue last week. I think they have to have (as they do) the price paid on the receipt - manufac's recommended prices aren't adhered to and the item could be got at different prices in different places so, in practice, they have to go off what it says on the receipt!:D0
