I used to have a real fire in my old house and I loved it, I just wasn't sure about planning regs...and convincing OH that it's a good idea, but I will definitely look into it, thanks for your advice

you cant beat a real fire, sitting next to one now, only heating we have in our bungalow, luckily we get free logs:D
