SCO, sounds as if we're in a similar situation.

Been with VF for years but got fed up with the fact that they've failed miserably in investing in a decent 3G network in Scotland. My SIMo contract is now up and was all set to go to 3, but a particular location at which I stay regularly has very poor connection with my 3 dongle.

Having nosed about, I was also considering EE and came across Virgin Media who apparently piggy-back on EE. They're supposed to have pretty good CS.

Still not sure yet though. One thing I'm aware of is that 3 is 100% 3G which I want, but I'd like the 2G battery saving option when just doing calls and texts.
    David.

Thanks for reminding me about this.

Recently moved from London to South-west Wales and GiffGaff coverage is worse than NaffNaff.

Was considering a move (back) to Orange or T-mobile as they're the only people with coverage down here but always found Orange too expensive but Virgin seem a reasonable alternative.

If you're a Virgin customer, (TV, boradband, etc) you can get a discount if you get a phone contract with them.

On T-mobile and Orange and have had no problems with either.
