Suspicious Behaviour?

Hi All,
This maybe all perfectly fine but I just wanted an expert view on this. I viewed a property on a Tuesday that I really liked, the EA advised the house was not on the market very long.
I was away due to work and could not get back in touch with the EA until the following Tuesday, I asked about the house and there were no offers on it - I asked if I could get a second viewing, they said yes but I would have to wait until the following Tuesday as they were very busy.
On the following Monday I got a call from the EA advising the house had been sold, the seller apparently was disillusioned with the house been on the market a long time and a friend came in, bid on the property and they decided to accept their offer.
Now I was very disappointed with this, however I accepted what had happened, until Monday came which was two weeks after this chain of events. The sale fell through as the buyer was made redundant and I am being offered a second viewing. I called the EA today to confirm the viewing and they were very helpful and even knew my name etc.
Interested in your thoughts, it may be perfectly normal but I wanted a second opinion.

I cant see any thing suss in that to be honest.
Except for the EA saying it hadn't been long on the market, then the EA saying that the sellers were 'fed up' of it being on the market so long.
When you go for your second viewing, clarify it with the vendor
Good luckmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
maybe it was on for a while with another EANever, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.0

That's the part that conerned me the most, I thought that perhaps the EA just used this line as an excuse for pushing through the sale so quickly. I'll know more today but if I do make a bid I'd like the house to be taken off the market just as quickly.0

So you expressed an interest in the property, it sold to someone else, but then fell through, so they called you and asked if you still wanted to view?
Thats not suspicious at all, thats good Estate Agency.
Or am I missing a different part of the story you think is suspicious?I am a Mortgage Adviser

If you do make a bid, remember the ea will probably not be willing to see the house taken off of the market until you at least have a survey booked in & if not bothering with a survey, until they have confirmation from your solicitor that you have instructed them to act for you.
There is nothing at all suspicious about the ea's behaviour, remember they only earn their money when they sell the house, so it's in their interests to get the house sold to somebody they have introduced & as quickly as possible. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
I had an estate agent phone me back about a house I had asked about that had already had an offer accepted on, but was still on their website.
Phoned me back a few months after I had initially spoken to the EA, but I had bought something else by then. Didn't think that it was suspicious at all.0 -

Check zoopla and it will tell you how long it has been on with the estate agent in the for sale section. If you then check the current values it will tell you how many times it has been on the market in the last few years, at what price and if it has been bought recently.0 -

It's not appearing at all on Zoopla.0 -
What's PropertyBee say about the place?0

Good feedback all.
I had the second viewing today, the house was even better than I remembered. It had been cleaned since my last viewing which really helped.
House is on the market for £89,400 and the EA told me several times that this was the winning bid before and if I came in with that bid it would be accepted - obviously the house is chocabloc with viewings over the coming days according to the EA.
I'm not sure how to play my next hand, my preferred bid would have been £85k but this may not take the house off the market and then again the EA could be bluffing me.0
