Haven't been in my local Heron for a week or two, but there was some gorgeous Quark at three for a quid for 200g when I was last in. Only drawback was, it wasn't British, Aldi do a British one, which is a bit ironic.

The pastrami and other cold meats were typically 2 for £2. The pastrami is always a bit bitty but a fraction of the price elsewhere and a lovely flavour.
I got lucky with the XSell pizzas last time, thin crust meat feast, my favourite. These are two for £1. I usually make home made tortilla pizzas but these are cheap enough to make adding some of your own toppings economically viable, although it wasn't necessary with the meat feast ones as the toppings were more than generous.

Was in my local Heron today, as well as the usual stuff, this was new:
Light Philadelphia Spread with Mediterranean Tomatoes 170g 75p
    907g Smoked Gammon Pieces 89p
Champagne Magnum ice creams 3 pack 2 for £1.50
    Volvic Sparkling Drinks 920ml 4 for £1
Ritz Rosemary and Olive Oil 2 for £1
    Terry's All Gold Milk/Dark 190g £1.49
XSell Mini Chicken Breast Fillets (500g?) £1
Country Life Salted Butter 500g £1.49
    Flora Light 250g 59p, 500g £1

One to avoid. Findus Cottage Pie BOGOF £1.39. They looked underweight, mine had approx 3 large tablespoons of potato/mince, had it for a ding meal as I was going out 10 minutes later. Wish I hadn't bothered.

Managed to get along to my local Heron and I was delighted to find Greying Pilgrim's Paneer for 69p.

    Along with

    Frozen:

Smoked Haddock and Cheese Fish Cakes, Xsell 600g £1.25

TMA Cocktail Sausages / Piri Piri Chicken Wings 200g 59p

HB Icecream Gingerbread Sandwich 4 for £1

    Canadian prawns 200g £2.75

    Chilled
Muller Yogurts Rio 4 pack £1.09

Bacon offcuts now 900g for £1.00

    200g Pastrami 99p

President Creme de Brie 125g £1.00

    GD Plain Green Olives 110g 59p (2 for £1)

    Galbarne Mascarpone 250g 89p

    Activia Natural Yogurt 500g 75p

Seriously Strong Smokey Cheddar Spreadable 125g £1.00

    One to avoid imo
Kelkin Natural Banana Oat Bites 5 packs, boxed for 39p
Not a bargain, as they taste like little flat squares of banana flavoured sawdust. Marketed for children's lunchboxes, don't be surprised if they come home uneaten. Birds will eat them.

Is that Farmfoods or Heron scarlet?
We only have a Farmfoods near us and I find the best buy there is 2 x 400g Allinsons Wholemeal for £1. Hovis 400g is 79p even in Aldi!
