You don't get it do you? (Or is the truth of this that you have more than the passing interest in Pru you claim to have?)
You keep telling us how marvellous they are and defend this change in ts + cs, but we aren't interested in them as an insurance company - this thread is (was) all about exploiting them for their marketing loophole!0 -
I think there have been too many changes to the Pru Health offering. It's one thing to withdraw the gym promotion but they've changed so much to the actual policy. I can't believe that they are retaining that many clients. I would have considered staying after losing the gym membership offering but higher points to platinum, removing the current discounts, loyality points allocation etc, is just too much.
I'd be happy paying normal health cover rates with free or cheap gym membership or discounted health cover rates with normal or slightly reduced gym membership. They've basically removed the gym (you can get it cheaper direct in some cases) and removed health cover discounts. I don't see how Pru Health is going to be much different from other providers.0 -

Yes Quentin, I get it just fine thank you. I'm not defending the change, if you actually read my post you'll see I'm agreeing with Davecon1's comments that it is worse now, but compared to other insurers it's still a good deal. Clearly the thread is related to the insurance aspect as well as this was cited by Davecon1 as something he valued through claiming on his old AXA plan.0 -

You just use any opportunity to defend pru over this.
In fact the thread isn't about the insurance aspect at all.
The clue is in the thread title!0 -

Why personal abuse like this? Just seems designed to cause trouble, and does nothing for the reputation of your profession!0 -

Because you seem relentless that I'm on some sort of crusade to defend PruHealth, which I'm not! If you drop the constant badgering under the assumption that I'm always out to defend Pru, then I'll get back to my day job too. I am, as I've stated before, an impartial and independent advisor who can speak from knowledge as much about Pru as I can any other health insurer.0 -

As 100% of your posts are defending pru, that seems the correct interpretation of why you come here!
And why does that mean you should be able to personally abuse posters with such schoolboy jibes?0 -

Here's a selection from your posts not defending pru:The new discounts will take effect if you chose to renew your policy from Jan 2010 onwards and it's 25% off the retail fees. This is still a better deal than all the other insurers out there.I think Pru is great, even if the gym and screening is getting more expensiveAll I'm saying is if you want good value healthcare, they are better than the other providers.hang on... the gym hasn't 'gone', the Ts & Cs are now just differentIf you get cheaper gym elsewhere, fine, but as a health insurer I think Pru are great
etc. etc.0
