Yesterday was a dieting disaster :( I received more bad news so I ate my body weight in cake :( However I did go for a VERY long walk and I am going on another today so hoping it will help the weight loss as I have been stuck at the same weight for 3 weeks now.

Lunch with a friend today so really looking forward to chatting and relaxing. Passing through town so I will clothes shop on the way and see if there are beautiful bargains to be had ;)

Happy birthday wishes to sweetcheeks, the hairdo sounds great.

Rummer - sorry that you have received more bad news, sending you virtual hugs. Many years ago I joined a WW class, the class leader was a young woman who had lost lots and lots of weight. She had located to a new area with her OH's job, had a small baby and knew no-one, as well as following the WW diet she walked miles and miles each day pushing her little one, in order to get out of the house and stop feeling lonely, it worked on all counts, she lived in a small town where people said hello and stopped to look at the little one and she toned up and lost weight at the same time.:D

  • Hello
I joined the old thread briefly after having my baby....she's 1 tomorrow and I guess life got in the way of me coming on here:rotfl:
Anyhooooo. So it's her birthday tomorrow, I've just this week succeeded in getting her to sleep in her cot rather than co sleeping and screaming in my arms for 3 hours each night. So I'm feeling more chilled.
I've lost my baby weight so back in my size 10/12 clothes.......sigh of relief.
Still doing yoga daily and have qualified as instructor for mother and baby yoga.

Our backyard farm has increased in chickens, and a pig, am growing more veg this year too.
I'm on sugar detox right now using this and I love it:T

Also carrying on with my Paleo lifestyle but added a lot of raw food meals and snacks too.

I'm feeling the stress right now as my son who is 10 and has autism, ADHD, PDA, sensory processing problems, Tourette's....you get the idea:cool:
Well he has to move to secondary in Sept and I'm currently in a battle with the LEA for a place in an autism specific IR school...not many places available so they've offered him mainstream which just won't cut it.
He's currently having treatment with CAMHS for suicidal ideation due to school stress:(
Looking forward to getting to know you all and fabbing ourselves up:T

<slinks in quietly> sorry ladies! the equinox completely passed me by :o:o thanks LL for starting the new thread x

Had one of those weeks where I just CBA with anything, having car issues which has been a running theme with my motor since the day I bought it a few years ago. On the up side dropping it off at the garage and walking back and doing it all in reverse has meant lots of extra walking for me this week.

Done a bit of yoga but not every day.
Hips are p!ssing me off  I am fine during the day once I am upright but by the time I wake up in the morning my back and hips are aching like b*ggery

Bought a couple of new tops and some summer style pumps. Too wet to wear them but since I am a size 8 if I don't buy them now they will be out of stock once weather warms up.

Been using the apple cider vinegar on my face twice a day after cleansing. Can't say I've noticed a massive improvement with using it. May need to add more.

Hubby late home tonight so am treating myself to a nice glass of red wine :D

Welcome to Betty and Jaqu and a wave for NPM who politely reminded me I'd abandoned the thread :p

Rummer so sorry you've had heaps of bad news. Hugs for you xx

Sweetcheeks happy birthday to you

Enjoy your Friday night all x

Just a pop on to say a day full of cake and a Chinese for tea...

Not the best day for healthiness but it's a day I'm allowed :)

Friday fabbing consisted of some make up, skinny jeans and vest top with a cardigan. Felt nice :)

    Hello ladies!!
I'm still floating around and popping in when I can - hope we're all ok?
Just back from a 90 minute walk in the sunshine with the woofer - its lovely out today. The fresh air and sunshine really do make a difference to your mood don't they?
Had a nice day so far - had a bit of a lazy morning with Fling then walked the dog, cleaned the house and then we popped off to a farmers market for a mooch and ended up buying nice but expensive bits and pieces and having them for lunch in the sun. He's gone off to play rugby now (final ever season as he's 49 now!) and I've been out with the dog.

Meeting a friend tonight for a bottle of wine - she's having a few man troubles so I'll be a shoulder to cry on I suppose. I'm also off to the cinema tomorrow with other friends to see the new 300 film - lots of near naked men in 3D:rotfl: A proper girl's afternoon out.
I'm trying really hard to make more effort with keeping in touch with people because I'm really rubbish at it and so far its going quite well.

I'm trying to summon up the urge to cut the grass but its abandoned me so far ;)
Hope we're all enjoying the nice weather.

WW The first one is a favourite of mine ;)

Well I sat yesterday and planned a week of healthy meals and spent ages organising a food order on ASDA only to find out that the fridge freezer had died  What is worse is that the freezer food is warm so it must have been out for a couple of days so all the food is ruined. So I have ordered a new one and the shop will arrive on Wed so until then I am just eating whatever is in the cupboards.

My weight loss has completely stopped even though I am going on long brisk walks multiple times a week so I am going to have to start doing something else.

Rummer, to the freezer dying. I don't know [STRIKE]much[/STRIKE] anything about having babies, but I guess it will take a while for your hormones to settle and your body to get back to normal, so perhaps if you vary your eating and excercise it will kickstart the weight loss again.

Not looking very fab this morning, without warning OH said lets go out somewhere different for a walk with dog before the rain comes, so basics done, plus eyebrow pencil, mascara and lippie, threw on yesterday's gardening trackies and walking boots etc and we went to a new place on Forestry Commision site, it was lovely and I walked about 2 miles (ankle problems) a good distance for me:D Sitting with cold compress on affected limb while I have a cuppa and then a little light gardening, OH is cutting lawn before the rain arrives without being nagged so that is a first and deserving of me making cake for him later I think:rotfl:

  • A fresh start for spring for me! After dying my hair several times the last month (I don;t know if you remember my purple horror!!) I settled on red, and then yesterday I had a much needed cut. Hair is now shoulder length with layers so I can style it messy just as I like. So relieved to get the damaged ends off! Just need to keep it healthy now.

Like a lot of you ladies, I am very keen on the wardrobe clear out/capsule wardrobe idea. I ordered a few basics last night and am going to have another big clear out this week and going to be pretty harsh. I think the items that I am unsure about I am going to box away, and if I don't miss them after a month or two, to the charity shop they will go!
    No more goo hoarding!

I'm loving this thread & feel inspired!
I'm going for a haircut tomorrow - I last had it done in December and she said "see you in 6 weeks"... So I'm in big need :)

I'm trying to organise my work wardrobe to be more coordinated with bags, scarves etc, but have come to the conclusion that I need to have a colour theme for the week as its a right pain having to empty the contents of one handbag into another each day...

I'm still aiming for the capsule wardrobe too. I think I also need to buy a couple of new bits (I'm thinking a beige jacket - smart enough for work but not so smart that I look like I'm going to a wedding, a beige bag and a blue bag) - but typically I can't find anything I like!
