Do not correspond with DRP.
Although the PPC impose a time limit for when they will issue a POPLA code, this is their time scale, not one they have to stick to.
Send a complaint to BPA as advised before. The fact that you do not have proof of posting does not mean you did not send it. It is just their word against yours!Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Click on words Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Newbie thread is the first post. Blue New Thread button is just above it to left.0 -
Ok thanks, I'll send the letter off to BPA this week. Should I write back to UKPC advising them of my actions?0

I wouldn't. And don't waste stamps sending random letters to the BPA. We have their email address in the NEWBIES thread post #6 and they do investigate complaints and come back to you. Make sure you tell them that in fact the debt collector letters started within a week of you sending your appeal (and ONLY write as keeper, ONLY mention the NTK, do not be drawn on the PCN!). Do the email now to Steve Clark and his is the timeline you should talk about, plus the fact that you did post a letter of appeal since UKCPS don't offer email appeals (contrary to the BPA code).Ok thanks, I'll send the letter off to BPA this week. Should I write back to UKPC advising them of my actions?Well I waited for the NTK to arrive & then used the template on here declining to pay. That letter was posted last week. Today I have received a letter from DRC (debt recovery).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi,
I've e-mailed Steve Clark & referred to points 23.4 A & B in the COP. I also added in point 22.6 which states a charge should not be increased until the PPC have replied to a challenge. DRP are now asking for £130, increased from the £70.
Also mailed DVLA re the KADOE breach of practice. Used the brief template supplied on the Newbies.
I'm sure I will be along again shortly for the next instalment asking for advice.
Thanks to all that have replied.

Hi, a BIG thank you to everyone that has helped me in this thread. Today I received a letter from UKPC cancelling my parking charge
Another positive result & I didn't even get as far as a POPLA code. Seems my letter to BPA has done the trick.

Could have saved at least a month by complaining to the BPA as advised in posts #7 and 9#
