If you have a strong stomach you could try the cabbage soup diet to start you off. However you are ONLY supposed to do this for one week. It is basically as much soup as you like (cabbage or other veg) combined with a plan ie Monday: soup and fruit, Tuesday: soup and rice etc etc. I did this to kick start my diet and lost about 6lb in a week, but you have to then follow it up with a healthy eating plan. It wasn't so bad at first but by the weekend I was struggling- I did stick to it though! Only trouble is, I can't bear watercress anymore (used lots in my soup!) after that!

    Have a look here:

They just suppress your appetite with Herbs. I've been selling the last 12 months and everyone loves them. No problems.

Slimming Tablets can't induce Thyroid troubles - but you wont lose weight with them if you have Thyroid issues.

Caffeine is in the daytime ones too - but not the Patches.

their sole ingredient is: Fucus Vesiculosis

I think the problem can be when people take certain herbs not realising that they have a sensitive thyroid. I have seen people say they're suffered from nervousness etc when on certain slimming tablets because the stimulation created hasn't agreed with them.

Do you mind me asking what the other ingredients are?

I'd not risk anything you don't know or haven't tried- more exercise and around 500 calories less per day will give you a sensible weight loss.

good Luck for the big day, btw:beer:

I can't seem to get that page to work atm. Could you give me a list of the exact ingredients (out of interest)?

Definitely - you can't beat excersise and a healthy diet. I wouldn't recommend Slimming tablets for anything but a short term fix anyway.

Congratulations and don't stress over your weight! I was about a size 12 when I got married and am tiny now... my dress would swamp me.. and although I was bigger in the pictures.. I loved my wedding day and would do it all again and again...!!

Forget trying to loose the weight, because it'll only leave you feeling anxious, and a diet could leave you feeling energy drained if you're not used to eating less calories.

    1) Eat normally,

    2) do a 30 min walk every day whilst listening to your favourite music

    3) when standing still, slowly raise yourself up onto your toes, then back down again - it'll tone your calf muscles!

    4) do 20 mins of yoga per day- it'll relax you and tone your entire body! don't attempt anything too strenuous though!!

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Like a lot of other posts - don't do anything daft!

Recommend that you just watch what you eat and take some moderate exercise.

One of my work mates was on a crash diet for a wedding (bridesmaid) consisting of a recommended diet that had some cracker/bar that looked and tasted worse than cardboard (she made us all try a bit) and liquid shake in various fruit flavours which smelt ok but very watery....

turns out she had a stomach ulcer and because of the diet, it burst. she was in agony after the wedding, couldn't eat and off sick at the moment.

oh and one of the side effects she felt was getting more clumsy and forgetful!

I went for a body wrap the day before, this helped me loose that excess water and in total lost 10 3/4 inches all over with 3 off my waist. If i'd known how successful it was I would have had one a week before and one the day before.

My SIL had 2 done before her wedding and lost about 20 inches in total. You obviously but it back on, but its great as a short term fix. If I remember correctly it cost about £45, but was worth every penny and made my skin really soft as well. It lasted for most of the honeymoon as well so felt fab in my bikini.

Good luck and hope you have a wonderful day.
