It would have taken longer to arrange, and as QVC are paying, the extra £9 is immaterial IMO. The unlock is still processed via Apple so the chance of a "reversal" is about the same (Apple don't have a procedure on their system to reverse an unlock request once completed).

That was my thought in the timescale, would have had to wait for vodaphone sim, potential wait on the unlock especially as apple had said vodaphone had told them there was a backlog due to a problem the month before so they had to reload these ones again, so my thought was go with the ebay one.

buglawton QVC are crediting my card with a value that covers the unlock, plus loss of service and compensation, dont have any reason not to believe this wont happen in the course of normal refunds but as soon as it comes through ill let you know.

just to let the thread know, money credited to card so all good, just waiting on unlock service to do there thing and then hopefully back in the land of mobile

Unless the procedure has changed in the last few months, you should get an eBay message once it's processed, but the unlock actually happened in the morning while the eBay message followed in the afternoon.

After the 3rd day, do a check on iTunes every now and then (with a non-Vodafone sim inserted).
