Ordered online, but can't get signal, can I return?

Options
Hi everyone

I ordered a Samsung galaxy Note 3 from carphone warehouse online, on a Vodafone 24 month contract, but my signal is really bad at home for some reason, and from time to time it keeps saying 'not registered on network'.

Seeing as I've already opened and started using it, what are my cancellation rights? It was delivered on Friday.

Thanks in advance for any help.

whats vodafones t&c say / carphone warehouse should be able to
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

    Hi runah,

As you seem surprised with level of coverage in your area, I'd recommend following the troubleshooting steps on our eForum, which have been linked to here, to see if there are any faults in your area.

In regard to returning the phone, talkalot has pointed you in the right direction for further help with this.

    Thanks,

    Lee

    From the CPW website:
    No reception? No problem

On the rare occasion the new phone or dongle you're so excited about can't get any reception where you live, there's no need to panic. We'll take care of it. Just return it to us within 14 days* and we'll find you a network that works where you live.
The coverage guarantee is for new contracts only and does not apply to upgrades.
If you have a reception issue at home, just pop into your nearest Carphone Warehouse store with:
    • Your product, preferably in its original packaging along with any accessories or free gifts that came with it
    • Proof of your ID and address so we can sign you up to a new contract
    • If you bought online or over the phone we can sort your issue more quickly if you visit us in store. But if you'd prefer to talk on the phone, call us on 0870 111 6565
If you want to cancel the phone and contract and walk away then you can do that within the first 14 days of purchase. Be aware that CPW will try every trick in the book to keep your custom, they will try to sell you a contract from another network which will almost certainly be of more monetary benefit to them than to you. You may well be better cancelling and spending the time finding another deal on your own.
