DSRs to no longer be anonymous

Good or bad? Given they have much less of an impact than before under the new system, it's a step in the right direction.

With a handful of reports being run, they weren't as anonymous as Ebay thought. You can pinpoint lows.

If you sell a lot of the same things it is not always so easy to see from reports who left low stars. I think this is a good thing. It is far too easy to leave positive feedback saying how great it was and then give low stars out of spite. Also how can you learn from your mistakes if you don't even know you are doing it?

Actually I disagree. It's very easy to pinpoint. I have items that sell 1,000s and perhaps 2-300 on one day....it's easy when you get into a routine, but I do run them every day until I meet maximum reports.

They were a pain to set up. Now it's straightforward.

Yes I agree, an improvement, but the old system was easy if you knew how to run reports.

I wonder if this will reduce the number of spiteful low stars? If buyers know sellers can identify them maybe they will think twice about leaving lovely glowing positives and low stars across the board.

My thoughts exactly. I have no problem with a deserved low star, but when you have no idea why it was left, what's the point ?

I just feel for the people who have lost their accounts due to anonymous and possibly undeserved low stars

It looks like it only applies to item as described and despatch time, so if you give free postage and don't communicate you should be covered

eBay where fooling no-one by saying they're anonymous, when 5 mins of running reports & narrowing sale dates & cross-referencing item numbers, etc showed the buyer who left them.

At least eBay CS cannot use the same script [cannot identify buyer] when you asked for Low Stars to be removed.

I was told that low stars could only be removed on neutral or negative feedback as you could request the buyer to remove/adjust the feedback left.
I only found that out after a buyer contacted me to tell me he had a problem with his PC and he left a positive feedback and ones for DSR. Both myself and the buyer contacted Ebay, it was a couple of years ago. If it is still the same then seeing who left low stars may actually drive sellers more crazy.

Last week i had low stars removed with positive feedback. It was from months ago. Logged in, spotted them, identified buyer - 5 mins on live chat and gone :)
