Would you take a 7 month old to Spain?

We originally planned to holiday this year in the UK as we have a new born baby.
Since we started looking in to this we have found that a week all inc in Spain would be more reasonable then a week in the UK. We plan to go in September and our baby will be 7 months old by then but we're concerned about the flight. Has anyone done this, do you have any advice? Thanks.

What's gone will never come back. But it exists when you think of it ...

Took my little one at 4 months to Benidorm (not peak season partying, a few days winter break to meet some friends out there.) She slept all the time on the plane there and back and I was breast feeding so no trouble with feeding. When we were out and about she was in her pram, was very easy id say go for it.0

Although we have long past the age for personally taking babies on planes we have many times {both summer and winter} been on flights with babies of all ages and found that most are fine with the flights. The only problems we have seen and heard is the take offs and desents as it can cause a little discomfort to the ears but many young parents we have spoken to say that Calpol has helped as the baby has slept through. As above I would say go for it and have a lovely time :0)0

We took dd when she was 8mths. She was fine on the plane, but suggest extra leg room as myself and Dh passed her back and forth between us and were squashed.
Found the whole trip very easy, nappies and food etc available.
Dd actually started crawling on the hotel balconey

I see no reason not to, as long as it's not a late flight (9pm plus)0

What exactly are you concerned about with the flight? We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0

Why?
I dont think babys should limit you, in fact at 7 months they are easier to take than a toddler.
We took our son to tenerife at 7 months and long haul shortly after.
OP what are you worried about0 -

I have taken my daughter on several flights a year ever since she was about 6 months old (the in-laws live abroad) and she was never a problem. It's now shes older that we have more problems as she needs more entertaining!
I found that I tried to give her a feed on take off and landing as the sucking motion that they use actually helps with the air pressure in their ears. Spain is only 2-3 hours away so if you try and time naps properly then they may sleep for at least half the journey. The rest of the time can be taken up with snack time, a book and a bit of a play and before you know it it's time to land and you can be enjoying your holiday!Lea

We'll be taking our daughter to Australia when she is nearly 10 mths old. I never gave it a thought in terms of not going, it's the only way for all my family to meet her as I'm an Aussie.
Speaking with a friend they mentioned trying to give her a bottle as you take off and land as it helps with their ears. I know someone else just mentioned this, so this is what I'm going to do.
We have asked for a bassinet for the flights but know that isn't always possible but fingers crossed we get it.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160
