    Hi,
If you look on www.hotukdeals.co.uk you will find a poster there by the name of SunshineStacey. She posts some of the most amazing bargains albeit some of them are to leave immediately. Of course, not everything she posts suits everyone, but it is definitely worth keeping an eye on her posts. Sally

Another vote for Majorca, the flight is about 2 and half hours which is manageable when travelling with little ones.It tends to be cheaper than its sister islands of Menorca and Ibiza. Or how about mainland Spain Torrevieja or even Benidorm.
    Have a lovely time.

May 1/2 term is usually cheaper than the school summer hols and the last week of Aug is usually cheaper than the others, if yours tend to go back early Sept rather than late August. If they do go back early check the dates they finish. I have a friend whose kids finish a week earlier than mine in July and that week is cheaper too.

If holidaying in the U.K Scottish schools go back earlier than in England and Wales, so you could look up prices of holiday cottages in Scotland.

Are you open to driving to France and staying in caravan accommodation? If so what about looking for something like this.

I would second the caravan holidays in France. Camp sites in France a amazing and we have been on a canvas holiday twice and are going again this year. Have a look at whit week its a lot cheaper that summer hols, the price doubles in the Summer.

We are a family of 4, two adults and two kids and we do the holiday for 1000 pounds which includes spending money.

Just to let you know how much my kids enjoy it. We have done Florida and all the parks costings around 5000 pounds !!!!. Canvas cost around 450 pounds before spending money. The kids say the best holiday ever is France.

Me, DP and DD1 have passports so only one to buy thank-god. We have found a holiday in Ibiza (?!) but unsure whether its a good place for families. I think its away from all the clubbing side of the island. Has anyone on here been with a family? Its all-inclusive for 5 days comes in at £908... however I'm going to have a proper look tonight and look into all your suggestions. We have plenty of time, parents are keeping the money safe until we book :D Holiday shopping is very fun!

If it was me being in the parent roll, I would be delighted to be invited along on the holiday. Seperate accommodation for the grandparents and paying for ourselves.

families should look after each other.

Ibiza has lots to offer besides clubbing, do look into it. I agree the timing isn't right for a disney trip for your youngest - but a sandy beach, bucket and spade and a paddling pool will do great.

I would also echo looking at May half term or October half term where you money will go further - the weather is still very pleasant in Canaries, Greek islands, Turkey, Egypt at those times.

Don't rush in to spend, enjoy the researching and planning and it will be time well spent in finding the perfect trip.

I went to Ibiza on a family holiday (including 2 grandparents and 4 of us kids) and it was away from the party side, and really nice. Do you know which area it is?

I went to S'illot in Majorca last August, I got all inclusive for 50 pounds a night through on the beach but this year Im booking with travel republic and its 31 pounds a night all inclusive, 3 stars. Last years hotel was also a 3 star and it was really nice.

S'illot is very family friendly and the hotels are about a 30 second walk from the beach.

I was on my own and didnt pay a single supplement, so you might find the family rooms per night might be around £50-60 a night depending on when you go and how many stars your room is.

£570 all inclusive for a family of 4, 2 adults, 2 children, one room apartment in Sillot in August. The hotel I looked at is directly across from the one I stayed in last year.

Have a look on travel republic, not seen a cheaper site yet.

Ibiza's lovely if you avoid San Antonio. Santa Eulalia and Portinatx are both lovely for families. Where's the deal you've found?
