Parking eye invoice - aldi syston

Good evening all. I have been looking around the forum as I have received an invoice from parking eye for my wife overstaying in aldi syston. Iam the registered keeper so it has come to me. We received the reduced cost invoice last week and after looking about on the net I took the decision to ignore it and put it in a draw under the impression that they don't chase you if you ignore them. Two days ago I got the £100 invoice hit the mat and it reminded me of this so after looking on the net ignoring is no longer the best idea.
Where should I go now. The car park is an aldi store car park. My wife did shop there but alas no receipt. I have not been in contact with parking eye at all and I wasn't the driver. It says to call them re an appeal but I do not wish to have the frustration of arguing with them. Would it be best for my wife on Monday to visit the store and speak to the manager? Should I fill in parking eyes online contact form with the appeal email that appears on here.
Iam not paying anything to do with my invoice but really unsure how to progress

Kind regards

Andy

You received the first notice last week? You should still be in time to appeal to ParkingEye. Use the template in the Newbie sticky thread. Also, speak to the manager at the Aldi store and see if you can get it cancelled.
  • Thanks da rule, is it best to appeal via the parking eye web site and name myself as the keeper or print and post the template? I'll keep my wife's name out of it for now as the driver ;)

I personally did mine by the website but it's entirely up to you. If you do decide to post it then get a free proof of postage from the Post Office (don't send recorded/signed for).
  • Thank you so much. I'll do it when I get home as still at work. The information in here is fantastic

    Hi Andy,
If payment was made by card - a copy of bank statement (with personal details blanked out) will suffice as proof of purchase - also if regular shopper and can show other proofs of purchase at other times it can help with the retailer to get these cancelled.

Can you just confirm when you had the Notice to Keeper? And when the parking event was ? Also if you have receipts any appeals should include a copy of them, and make complaints to Aldi about this

..... It says to call them re an appeal but I do not wish to have the frustration of arguing with them.

You're right not to want to speak to them - it's never advisable.

Their usual NTK's have a paragraph on the back stating all appeals must be received in writing.

Bit concerned that they now seem to be asking people to call them regarding appeals - maybe this is a new tactic of theirs.

Anyway given the dates in your post above you are well within time to submit your appeal as per the template letter in the sticky NEWBIES as others have advised.

What does the wording say that suggests you phone them? I wonder if they have changed the wording and are trying to get early info about who the driver was, which is sneaky.
