Ha, even if you think you are on a rolling contract and give them 30 days notice to leave they still charge you an £80 cancellation fee and chase you with debt collectors letters.
I've got fed up with saying "If you think I owe you money take me to court and let a District Judge sort it out". All they do is change debt collectors lol0 -
Based on what evidence? Please don't get the OP's hopes up...
The current equivalent to the bundle is the premiere with a box and phone upgrade - that comes in at £80.99.
That would include an upgrade for the OP to 100mb internet, which is what the 60mb is becoming.
That's £65.00 plus £15.99 a month line rental - I would expect at best £55-60 would be the best price, but you might have to go through with the full cancellation and call back process.
It would also kick in a new 12 month minimum term.
Call retentions, option 5 then 3 (or 2) cant remember. they have the power to apply all sorts of loyalty discounts, 3 month/6 month deals off. I've only got 100Mb BB, TV M+ and phone M and pay 27.99 (just checked my account,it's actually 24.99) a month (yes, including phone line rental)
Ypou may need to take a new 12 month contract which may or may not be a problem for you, depends where and how you live, and the discounts may not apply for the whole of the minimum term, but you can call back befor eth dicsounts expire and they will extend depending on the circumstances, YMMW.
Give them a ring (only MOn to Fri 9-5 as otherwise youwill go through to offshore support which are useless)0 -
Like u .....wait many idea !!!0

Not in my experience.....
I've always found retentions to be pretty useless, im generally an excellent haggler.
I have always managed to get a bog standard £10 off the list price off my package (at the moment £70 down to £60), but that's it.
And yes, I have given them my notice and waited for someone from outbound retentions to call me back, but no one ever does. It's only in the last week before cut off that I have managed to get this discount with a new contract when I have complained via twitter or the like.0 -

OK, I may have exaggerated a bit but you know what I mean, you can significantly reduce the bill by haggling rather than just taking the standard pricing.
So for the 70£ regular price , what package do you get?
P.S MY package costs usually £48.99 and I am paying currently 24.99£, this will go up by 2.50£ in JUne then another 5£ in September as the dicounts expire, however, retentions told me to call back in JUne and they will see what they can do then if there are new offers. SO overall I am still making significant savings0 -

I have tried haggling......loads! Trust me I'm a haggler!
I have
3 x boxes (2 x bog standard, 1 x 500gb TiVo)
Large TV
Basic phone (free UK landline calls at weekends)
50mb (?) Broadband
And I pay £60 a month0 -

I have M+ TV and XL BB (you have L), samo phone but only one TiVo (500GB) <, I think it is the boxes that add up
30MB BB has been upgraded to 50 now, the 60 to a 100 and the 120 to 152
When I last called them I didn't really haggle to get my existing package reduced, I said this is my max budget, what can you do? So they upgraded my BB from L to XL and my TV from M to M+ for the same cost, free SH2 included upgraded form SH1 which has appaling WIfi range0 -

I was always told there was a flat rate of £5 pcm per extra box.0 -
It's awkward. Truth be told, I don't want to switch. I just want to have same services for less money from VM. I think it is the boxes that put price up. I have 1TB and 500GB. I think I will have to try my luck and see what they will knock off. I would just like to have some negotiating leverage and I don't have it.The 500 box makes periodic buzzing noise so that's never been right really and the i player is a bit juddery on there. It's just £82 a month seems to much. If I say my max budget is x amount, they might just start saying they will drop this service down and that service down and that's not really what I want. The prices have gone up about twice since I took the contract out but I just accepted that - maybe I should have called them then to ask for a reduction.0

Later..I just joined the vm forum page to see if I could get some tips and someone who works for vm answered and said if I wanted to leave I should let them know 30 days before contract ends. I didn't know that and there is nothing in my original paperwork that says that. i'm only a few weeks away from it ending so i'm within the 30 days. does anyone know if that means i'm tied into a contract or have to pay an exit fee now? I was assuming that once it ended, that was my way out if I chose it. Thanks.0
