Why would I want to ask him directly? I don't expect he would answer, or answer honestly anyway.

I started a thread in a discussion forum in order to discuss it. But as you say, people aren't replying so perhaps it is a more difficult question than I thought.

But I am grateful to you for ensuring this doesn't fall off the first page. You are doing a sterling job.

If you dont ask MSE directly, how do you know they wont reply?

As I said, only MSE can answer your question as no-one on here will have the answer.

Why don't we just wait for some comments from Martin which hopefully will be forthcoming.
My phone stopped making calls last night (like the rest of us) but I did not check till 5 minutes ago why - now I know. It does however still receive calls.
And I only bought my sim last week - I was not aware that the company existed before Martin's post - but if you buy something that looks too good to be true you probably will be wary about who you believe next time - basically we are all looking for something for nothing - AND THEY DON'T EXIST!

Why would I want to ask them directly? If my suspicions are correct about the timing then they won't admit it.

How do you know that nobody on here will have the answer? I might be incorrect that MSE have never mentioned ovivo before and someone could correct me.

Do you know what a forum is?

He was on 5live today and made no mention of it whatsoever. I predict he will never mention it again.

Ovivo was great for 2 years. Pity martin didn't tell us about it 2 years ago.

    I hope somebody does.

How will you feel if my prediction comes true and Martin Lewis never ever mentions this again?

That's the bit I find surprising. It's been all over Hotukdeals and this forum for 2 years (and other forums as well). The sim was cheaper in the past as well.

But suddenly 2 years after everyone else, suddenly Martin "notices" it. I always thought that sniffing out fresh new deals was what Martin excelled at? Perhaps some of his other recommendation are stale as well?

    Bingo!

This is exactly what I mean. How does he ignore it for 2 years?

He has been asked Twitter questions about Ovivo Mobile but has not replied.

He has also managed to tag the wrong company - a different company trading with Ovivo in its name - in his tweet to his guide to your consumer rights.

    Put to him on Twitter

Did you receive any incentives or income either directly or indirectly from #Ovivo?

Disappointed with @MartinSLewis, recommendation, of @Ovivo mobile on @Daybreak, we have sad Birthday Girl, with no mobile contract.

not impressed that Ovivo were promoted on TV by you, lots of people trusted you and are now out of pocket!!

@MoneySavingExp @MartinSLewis so, we've all been screwed over by Ovivo. Great for me who needs the number as it's on all my job applications

@MartinSLewis @edvaizey Mr Vaizey, are you aware of the sudden closure of the Ovivo mobile phone network? No warning and probably no refund

    shouldn't you check before recommending?

Hey @MartinSLewis, any thoughts on the sudden closure of #Ovivo?

@bbc5live @MartinSLewis will there be any mention of ovivo mobile?

Ovivo UK shuts down without warning - were they con merchants? Recommended by Martin Lewis

How come no mention from you re Ovivo shutting after you recommend it to us all???!!!

@MoneySavingExp @MartinSLewis That was a great, well timed recommendation to purchase Ovivo £20 Sim

@MartinSLewis Hi Martin, would you be willing to provide comment for a Guardian feature on the Ovivo shutdown? Many thanks.

@StudentCash @MartinSLewis Public info showed they were heavily in debt, so why were they promoted by Martin??

National Debtline has endorsed moneysavingexpert by tweeting a link to its guide to your consumer rights

Perhaps the most interesting exchange with ML on Twitter is from 10ways another sales company which has asked Martin Lewis to DM them as they want to talk about Ovivo.

@martinslewis it's 10ways here, can you DM us. We want to talk to you about Ovivo @moneysavingexp

Links in this tweet should not be trusted, posted only because it is difficult to just copy and paste text. If anyone wants me to edit links this please let me know.

There is no comment from ML in the Guardian's article and it was not covered on his BBC 5 Live show.

I think a lot of people are forgetting that MSE is also here to make money. Martin is not doing this to help the society, he is doing this to promote himself and make money.

If Ovivo offered him some money directly or indirectly, he will promote that product.

Just before Martin started promoting Ovivo, mobile reviewed the price. It seem like all this was planned.

    MSE could have
    1. Check the company
    2. Look at the account numbers
    3. Talk to the management.
    4. Find out what type of terms Ovivo is trading under with Vodafone.
    5. How much money is made from adverts.

For some reason non of this was by a Martin.

How many other products are paying products MSE directly or indirectly?
