I have 3 Lloyds Classic Vantage Accounts. One of them is a main account for me with lots coming in and out (inc 2+ DDRs). Can I upgrade this one online to Club Lloyds AND keep the same account number ... and then can I open a 4th Classic Account and add Vantage to it?

New current account and a Club Monthly Saver opened and showing online. Had to enter all my details again for the current account but it took just 5 mins. Just need to set up the DDs and SOs.

You can upgrade an existing account but I doubt you can have more than one because the T&Cs say you can have max 1.

Worth a try though - please let us know how you get on.

The online upgrade isn't as straight forward as it seems. I have 6 Vantage and 1 Gold account already. When I apply to upgrade on Vantage number 6 all seems fine on the first page so i accept the T&C's.

Then it gets to the pre-contract info page which is all about my Gold account and trys to change that to a Club Gold Account which costs £17.95pm and is not what I want at all as currently that account is FREE.

Thanks for the info about this being available from today. Have now upgraded one of my Vantage accounts online.

From Biggles' post above, this might be an error - the wrong T&Cs are linked to when opening a new account.

But it specifically mentions all the account details for the Gold account ie. Sort/Acc Nbr/OD/£12.95pm + £5pm cost etc
I think if you don't already have an upgraded account (Gold/Plat) then you'll probably be able to do it. I think it's down to Lloyds only permitting you to have one of those upgraded accounts only. I'll try by phone as it's an 0800.

I don't really want to attempt to get a 'new account' as I already have 7 with them. The Vantage number 6 already has the 2 DDs in place so hopefully they'll just switch it over ?

Set up online on top of my 3 Vantages. DDs set up from Tesco and Egg, earliest 10th Apr. Took about 20 minutes in all:) Shame you can't do R85 online like Santander. Won't allow Vantage upgrade after set up, as expected, but was worth a try, like Nationwide Flexes last year. Vantages to 123s on whatever the date is in Jul for the 1.5%
