Iphone 5S and No Service

Hello

I am after some advice, has anyone else got an Iphone 5S and has continuous no service? I have just upgraded through Carphone Warehouse to the above on the O2 network.

I have been back to Carphone twice and had the phone replaced and the second time they replaced the sim. Apparently NO ONE else has had this problem, just me! If anyone else has experienced this, can you let me know how or if you were able to sort the problem out so that I can have a phone that actually works.

Thank you in advance.

    Hi,

My daughter has an iphone 5s with o2 and has awful problems with service and signals.

I also have an iphone 5s with o2 and have never had a problem!!

Seems to be the luck of the draw!

    Hi Nonnatus

How does your daughter cope with that? Is it just in certain areas that she can not get service?

unfortunately you don't get a 14 days return on o2 upgrades. have you tried other o2 sim cards in your phone and have you tried other o2 phones where you are??.

seems like it must be a coverage issue with you having a new sim card and a new phone, is o2 bringing out 4g in your area as may be a few masts down.

may be worth contacting o2 to see about possible masts down in the area ??. or try your new sim in your old phone, I haven't heard of any o2 issues with iphones yet though

We do not have 4G currently in our area but the 3G doesn't work either. I have had the phone three weeks and do not want it anymore.

Not sure what I can do about this?

She copes with it by getting very cross and shouting at it!!

Very odd, because my son has an old Iphone 4 on o2 and has never had a problem.

The fault does seem to be with her handset. When I spoke to o2 they were uninterested.

    Hi Nonnatus

Have spoken to countless O2 representatives, they all advised the same things to try, which we did without any luck. Carphone Warehouse, did not check coverage etc, so O2 say they are accountable.

O2 say they are disgusted with CPW and will escalate to a complaint through whomever's manager! I have made O2 email me the transcript from our live chat so I have that.

Meant to say, that sim works in old iphone 5 just not in new Iphone 5S.

Just do not know what to do :(

I would suggest ordering a replacement sim from O2 and if that doesn't help make an appointment to take the phone into an Apple Genius Bar for them to check it.

I would then suggest making an appointment with Apple to have it checked by the Genius Bar.
