cat sniffing....

You're all just showing off with your sweet smelling cats now!
Little cat has taken to lying across my face in a morning to wake me up and I'm not aware of her smelling of anything - I'm more concerned with not suffocating to sniff though.
And just to put any worried minds at rest, smelly cat doesn't have anything medically wrong and he does have regular health checks - he just farts a lot. He probably produces more than your average dairy cow. And it smells so bad that I have been known to check his back end to ensure he doesn't need to start using toilet paper0 -
I do sniff my dog. She has a spot on her back which smells beautiful0

I have! Just a little bit0 -
My parents old cat always used to smell of slightly burnt toast, something I put down to her spending so much time curled up against a radiator that she was probably slightly toasted herself. My kitten smells a bit like tumble dried clothes, I love giving him a good sniff because he smells so homely and comfortingstir_crazy wrote: »ETA: Just read the whole link. my Giz smells lovely. I love snuffling the softy bit of fur behind the ears.
i used to nibble my old Sugar cat's ears, she would drape herself across my chest and sleep so they were in easy reach!Cats don't have owners - they have staff!!DFW Long Hauler Supporter No 1500 -
Barnes smells faintly of catnip today. had to soak him in catnip infusion as his skin was 'irritated'.
If I had tried to 'nibble' First Cat Timothy's ears - I would be taking my life in my hands! He wouldn't allow such liberties! I don't think even my laid back Barnes would like it either. tho - considering he ASKS to have his nose picked.........he may well like it.0 -
my nibbles were putting the tip of the ear between my lips and sort of puckering like when you've put lipstick on. no teeth involved!!!Cats don't have owners - they have staff!!DFW Long Hauler Supporter No 1500

Sorry but that made me giggle too
As for sniffing cats - when my last cat used to curl up in the grass in the sunshine, I always took a crafty sniff when he came inside. He smelled gorgeous0 -
rofl - this thread is insane! but I love it! my first dog anni (staffie) often smelt of wet dog -even why she was dry, second dog meg (springer spaniel) smelt like sheep dip when she was wet!0

Yes exactly!! I sort of press my lips against his ear. I realise this makes me sound beyond mad :rotfl:. It's very relaxing!0
