  • I use Tesco Lite at 8p a minute and 4p a text and can recommend it for you if your local O2 coverage is good. £10 lasts me months as I don't make many calls.
If you prefer the Vodafone network then Sainsbury have the same call costs and with the basic plan (not the monthly one) then £10 can also last months.

    Here you go:-

    https://www.tescomobile-freesim.co.uk/lite-sim/

They don't push it too hard, so that most people go for a more expensive option.

    For occasional users
If you only use your phone occasionally we offer great value call and text rates that make it easy to keep track of what you are spending.
    Mobile by Sainsbury's
    Great value
    UK calls:
    8p per minute
    Standard UK texts:
    4p per text
    UK data:
50p per day (for up to 25MB)*
    Nectar points:
    DOUBLE points on top ups**
*Plus 50p for each additional 25MB. **Terms apply.
Charges are for calls and standard texts to UK mobiles and standard UK landlines starting 01, 02 and 03, plus UK data.

I assume that this is the Salisbury's equivalent??

Not very MSE at those prices.

    Compared to 3-2-1

    8p vs 3p
    4p vs 2p
    50p for 25MB vs 25p for 25MB.

    d123 thanks

i need a sim for a low user who doesn't want to pay once a month after ovivo being so cheap! also his phone is locked to vodaphone so sainsburys sounded ok. also his nokia 1110 won't be 3g I suspect!

    Switching to Three is easy.
We make it easy to control your spending:
Make the switch to Pay As You Go on Three in three simple steps:
    Great rates that don't change
    You can keep your number
Keep track of your spending with My3
Make sure your 3G phone is unlocked
Contact your network for your PAC (Port Authorisation Code)
Bring your number to Three online or call 333 from
    your Three phone
