    Please answer - have you tried a DFU mode restore?
    One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.

    The ipad with plug logo is it in normal restore mode, this can fail for a number of reasons.

    DFU mode restore will fix that ipad.

    I have done it in DFU mode where the screen was all black but it didnt work.

    Im going to try it again now. Got nothing to lose. Will let you know what happens. :)

    If not post the iTunes restore failure code. It will show this on the screen if a restore fails,

    Our nearest one is about an hours drive from here, it might have to be done though. :(

    Just to clarify, you said you reinstalled iTunes - is it the latest version?

    Yep says iTunes 11.1.5 is current version.

    krisdorey is right this can be corrected. When you get that error what does it say under more information? Sometimes you need to put it in DFU and restore several times
