Not the best of days on the High Seas.

Do you ever have one those days were everything you thought was going well ends up going "It's Up"? Well I have just had one of those.

Still it Is better to get it over and done with at the start of the week I guess.

One of my battles today was canceling the Equifax subsription. Having been put on to an Indian call center, All i got was a garbled conversation and I could understand very little. I kept on being told I would get a 50% discount and kept saying "NO I WANT NOTHING FROM YOU" .

After a ten minute call i was surprised to see an e-mail confirming a further 6 months subscription. I rang straight back and gave them " 6 of the best from the Broad side". Needless to say I hope that is the end of the matter.

Hope you are all enjoying the weather today, :p

Well here we go, Pay Day tomorrow so just polishing how much to pay off and to each of the old Credit Cards.

I enjoy this moment every month. Boat docked today and made a trip to Tesco. Starburst Sour Chews are half price at 70p, a real nice treat for the Captain.

    #174 Ahoy Shipmates!

It has been a rough few days at Sea I can tell you but we have safely docked and been paid.

I have updated my Signature below but here are the figures that matter: £6503 / £27,890

Been a costly month for me but have battled the temptations to spend. I can now start to really see progress and would like to thank everybody on this thread as I often read it late at night before bed. It can be strange at sea but this seems to keep my focus.

Not long until I can take my debt below 20k and that will be a real nice day. Have a good Bank Holiday weekend, going to be a few drunken Sailors!

Weather is fine on the South Coast and today is the day i reserve every month to call the Credit Card Companies and reduce my Credit limit on all cards.

I hear people on here saying "don't do it" "It will wreck your credit rating" and all that. Well, nothing wrecks it more than the amount of debt I carry!

It is a kind or comfort blanket for me too as I know by reducing the limit, I can not spend on it!. I always keep a few hundred spare on the limits just in case though.

Hoping for good Revenue in 2 months time which will allow me to shut at least 2 cards down.

Got some nice Tesco Microwave meals on deals. I really like the Pulled Beef and onion mash-Give it a go!
